A DJ trade show is a different test than a launch video.

The product can look polished online, the spec sheet can read well, and the demo can hit all the right lines. Then it lands in front of working DJs, mobile crews, club regulars, wedding selectors, bar residents, educators, and gear nerds who want to know how fast it feels under the hand.

That is why AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ’s return to DJX 2026 is a smart calendar moment.

The 36th annual DJX tradeshow and exhibition runs August 10 to 13 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and Etess Arena in Atlantic City, bringing a large slice of the U.S. DJ community into one place. AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ will be at booth 115, with more new gear on the floor than in previous years and two Atlantic City debuts: the CDJ-1500X and XDJ-AN.

John Powell, President of AlphaTheta Music Americas, called this the company’s “biggest DJX yet,” which feels like the right framing given how much AlphaTheta has released since DJX 2025.

The booth is the main draw

The gear list is long.

AlphaTheta has introduced several products since last year’s show, including the CDJ-3000X flagship multi player, SLAB Serato Studio controller, RMX-IGNITE effector, DJM-V5 compact 3-channel mixer, CDJ-1500X multi player, and XDJ-AN all-in-one DJ system.

That gives booth 115 a pretty clear role: let DJs put hands on the new generation of the AlphaTheta lineup without relying on comments, clips, or someone else’s review.

The CDJ-1500X is one of the more interesting pieces in that room because it sits in the space between club-standard ambition and smaller-booth reality. I wrote about that in my article on the AlphaTheta CDJ-1500X, where the main appeal was how many club-player habits AlphaTheta packed into a setup meant for tighter DJ spaces.

The DJM-V5 has a similar logic on the mixer side. In my article on the AlphaTheta DJM-V5, the draw was a compact 3-channel mixer that still gives DJs real sound-shaping range. DJX is exactly the kind of place where that pitch can be tested by people who set up, tear down, and work in imperfect rooms every week.

The XDJ-AN gets its Atlantic City moment

The XDJ-AN is the other major debut called out in the announcement.

AlphaTheta is positioning it as an all-in-one DJ system, which makes it a natural fit for DJX. All-in-one units tend to hit a very specific crowd at this kind of show: mobile DJs who want fewer pieces to carry, newer DJs trying to buy one serious rig, educators building training setups, and working selectors who need a system that can move between events without becoming a cabling project.

That is also why the Ultimate DJ Giveaway is likely to get attention. Attendees can enter for a chance to win new gear, including an XDJ-AN, two WAVE-EIGHT speakers, and a pair of HDJ-F10 headphones. Booth visitors can also complete a short survey for AlphaTheta swag and a shot at winning an XDJ-AN.

The HDJ-F10 inclusion is worth noting because AlphaTheta’s recent headphone push has been one of its more musician-facing moves. I gave the model an Editor’s Choice Award in my AlphaTheta HDJ-F10 review, largely because the SonicLink side made wireless DJ monitoring feel less like a gimmick and more like a real performance option.

Where to find AlphaTheta at DJX 2026

The main AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ booth is booth 115.

For deeper production and performance demos, attendees can also visit AlphaTheta inside the Edit Studio on the show floor, with rekordbox and rekordbox mobile at booth 609 and SLAB at booth 708.

That split is a smart layout. Booth 115 handles the broader DJ gear showcase. The Edit Studio spaces give attendees more room to focus on rekordbox, mobile workflow, and the SLAB Serato Studio controller without fighting the main booth crowd.

Attendees can use code DJXALPHA2026 for a discounted All Access Pass or a free Exhibits Only Pass.

DJX has always been strongest when it speaks directly to DJs who work in real rooms. AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ’s 2026 showing fits that mood: new players, new all-in-one systems, new mixer options, education, live sets, giveaways, and enough booth time for DJs to decide what actually belongs in their rig.
