Excite Audio has teamed up with Grammy-winning producer Mura Masa to launch Bloom Mura Masa, a virtual instrument that channels the sound and energy of modern club culture. Built from the same creative foundation as his 2024 album Curve 1, Bloom delivers the raw edge and emotional depth that define Mura Masa’s production style.
The instrument is available now at Plugin Boutique for $39 (regularly $59), with an introductory offer running until November 30.
A Direct Line to Mura Masa’s Studio
Every sound in Bloom Mura Masa was hand-picked from Mura Masa’s own session archives, featuring both released and unreleased material. The instrument blends elements of UK garage, early rave, and experimental club music into a toolset designed for producers seeking character and immediacy in their workflow. Users will find gritty bass lines, warped percussion, playful synth stabs, and expressive textures that balance club functionality with emotional weight.
“I’ve packed Bloom full of presets I made myself — sequences, drum loops, melodies, chords, basslines — everything you’d need to build a full track,” says Mura Masa.
Features and Workflow
Bloom combines loops and one-shots into synchronized phrases that lock perfectly to your project’s tempo. The interface offers intuitive performance controls and a collection of 250 presets created by Mura Masa and Excite Audio’s in-house team. Users can also drag and drop their own samples to customize and extend the instrument.
Four macros — Terminal, Peek, Angle, and Sides — allow real-time shaping, while built-in effects such as reverb, modulation, and speaker simulation bring additional depth. The integrated sequencer encourages experimentation with direction, swing, and randomization controls, giving producers a fast and flexible way to create rhythmically complex ideas.
