Bitbird artist tesh has been on a undeniable trajectory these past few months, heavily championed across most of Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Soundcloud’s editorial playlists.

With his debut EP, CYCLES + REPETITIONS, dropping April 25, tesh recently unveiled its third single, “INDIGO“—a high-energy techno cut built for warehouse raves. Like the fictional city of Orosboro that shapes the EP’s world, INDIGO thrives on contradiction, blending hypnotic rhythms with an underlying sense of unrest.

tesh shares that “INDIGO is a reflection of both my love and criticism of nightlife culture. It’s intended to be a club anthem that explores the endless pursuit of pleasure while critiquing the facets of addiction and harmful escapism. INDIGO embodies the contradiction of modern urban existence: a society that celebrates excess while ignoring its own collapse.

Its rolling 6/8 bassline set against a relentless 4/4 beat creates a disorienting push and pull, echoing Orosboro’s struggle between escapism and self-destruction. Beneath the hypnotic groove, a dystopian vocal weaves through the chaos, capturing the euphoric highs and inevitable crashes of a society on the brink.
