Audio Pro has added a walnut veneer finish to the C5 MkII W, bringing the compact wireless speaker in line with the brand’s growing W-generation range. The Swedish audio company already offers walnut versions of the A28 W, A48 W, and C20 W, and the C5 MkII W now joins that group after customer demand pushed the finish beyond its initial limited rollout.

The move gives Audio Pro a cleaner entry point for listeners who want compact wireless audio without the look of standard black, white, or gray speaker finishes. Walnut has become a useful option in home audio because it fits easily into living rooms, studios, offices, and smaller spaces where a speaker needs to sit in plain view. For a brand known for Scandinavian design, the material also gives the C5 MkII W a warmer visual profile while keeping the overall shape minimal.

Audio Pro CEO Nils Ankarcrona said the walnut finish was introduced in 2025 with a limited product range in mind, but market demand led the company to expand it across additional speakers. He also pointed to a broader consumer shift toward products with longer-term appeal, better materials, and less reliance on low-cost disposable design.

Why Walnut Makes Sense For The C5 MkII W

The C5 MkII W is designed as a smaller speaker for compact rooms, which makes the new finish especially practical. Smaller wireless speakers often live in visible areas: shelves, desks, kitchen counters, side tables, or small studio corners. A genuine wood veneer finish helps the speaker feel less like a tech object and more like part of the room.

That is the main appeal here. Audio Pro already has a clean visual language, and walnut gives that design a more furniture-friendly version without changing the core product. The visible grain and natural color variation give the C5 MkII W a more premium look, which helps it fit into spaces where people care about how their audio setup looks as much as how it functions.

This also fits the current direction of accessible hi-fi. More listeners want speakers that are easy to use, compact, and room-friendly, but they still want materials and finishes that feel considered. The C5 MkII W in walnut lands in that lane directly.

A Compact Speaker In Audio Pro’s W-Generation Range

The C5 MkII W is part of Audio Pro’s W-generation lineup, which includes the company’s newer app experience powered by Linkplay. That platform brings an updated user interface, EQ controls, Wi-Fi synchronization, and other connected features that make the speaker more practical in a modern home setup.

The speaker is positioned for smaller rooms, which makes it a good fit for apartments, home offices, bedrooms, writing spaces, and casual listening areas. It gives users a compact wireless option with a premium finish, app-based control, and multi-room potential within the broader Audio Pro ecosystem.

The C5 MkII W in walnut is priced at €325, $325, and £270. Review samples are now available, and the new finish is available as Audio Pro continues expanding walnut across its W-generation range.
