Pawlowski’s Get Me High EP lands in the middle of summer with a clear purpose. Across two tracks, the French producer blends hard house bounce with trance-inspired emotion, weaving rave-era vocals into basslines built to lift festival crowds. It’s a release that leans into his strengths while showing a more playful side, designed to work as well in a packed warehouse as it does under an open sky.
The EP follows a run of high-profile moments, from viral fan clips to a career-defining appearance on Charlotte de Witte’s KNTXT label. Known for cinematic intros, bold melodic hooks, and a strong visual identity shaped by anime and cyberpunk influences, Pawlowski has carved out a lane that feels distinct within the neorave and acid techno underground. Get Me High continues that trajectory, pairing festival-friendly grooves with the grit and edge that first put his name on the map.
In this feature, Pawlowski breaks down the process behind the release, from crafting groovy Nexus-driven basslines to adding weight and character with Sausage Fattener. His approach is focused on energy, clarity, and instinct, using minimal layers to keep the mix clean while letting the vocals and groove take the spotlight. It’s a practical, no-frills look at how to make summer-ready tracks that still carry his trademark intensity.

Nexus 5

Nexus 5 is a powerful plugin that’s perfect if you want instant, polished sounds without spending hours designing them. Unlike a traditional synth, it focuses more on playback of expertly-crafted, sample-based sounds rather than deep sound design, but you still get plenty of control over layers, effects, and modulation. It’s fast, inspiring, and ideal for my kind of music without the technical hassle.
In this EP I wanted to make something a bit different from what I usually did before. I wanted a sound more “easy” to listen to and open to everyone for this summer. Maybe some people would be disappointed because these are not tracks that seek to revolutionize the genrebut just to relax and have a good time.
That is why with this EP I was more focused on the Vocal part and the Groovy Bassline than a real lead melody. Both of the bassline were made with Nexus.
I think the most important part of this music is the “Groove”. Bassline is super important. And of course a great Vocal ! the combination of these two perfectly fused points allows you to create a very good track. Even the simplest
Sausage Fattener

Sausage Fattener is a quirky yet surprisingly powerful plugin that adds fatness, grit, and loudness to your sounds with just two main knobs. It combines saturation, compression, and subtle EQ under the hood, so you can make drums punchier, basslines thicker, or entire mixes more aggressive in seconds. Despite its silly look, it’s actually a very effective tool for adding harmonics and weight without overcomplicating things. Just turn it up, and your sound instantly feels bigger and more alive!
Usually I used this plugin for my Acid Line, but this time I tried it on my bassline to give it more loudness and power to the track. Result was super nice and I really enjoyed it.
I think the best advice I can give with this plugin is try it on everything. Don’t hesitate to experimente and to explore every possibility. That’s how you could find a great sonority !
Quick Fire Tips For Making Music

Tip #1:
Groove is the most important thing for that kind of music. You need a nice groovy bassline to shake that body
Tip #2:
I think vocal is the second most important part. With a great vocal you can make people sing ! And that what we need for a great summer hit
Tip #3:

don’t try to make something too complicated . It’s still intuitive music that appeals to the rhythm in your skin.
Tip #4
even if you think your piece is too simple, trust your instinct. A 6-track piece can be much better than a 20-track sound. Just believe in yourself
Tip #5
don’t be in a hurry to release a track. take your time and don’t hesitate to listen to it a hundred times if you have to.
That’s how you’ll spot the little flaws and perfect it.
