Hercules, the award-winning DJ hardware manufacturer, has unveiled their newest DJ controller, the DJControl Inpulse T7, at NAMM. The controller is the largest and most impressive the brand has ever released and is compatible with Serato DJ. It boasts motorized platters and is available at an industry-leading price of USD 699.99.

While the technology has evolved, the dream of many aspiring DJs remains the same: to mimic the original vinyl spinners who creatively transitioned between tracks and added their distinct flavor to the mix. Vinyl and turntablism are synonymous with the early days of DJing. Modern DJs have taken to spinning on digital controllers with motorized jog wheels, vinyl discs, and slipmats that pay homage to the first DJs who paved the way for their modern success.

Hercules has designed the DJControl Inpulse T7 with this emotional connection to the history of spinning in mind. DJs who want to take their first steps towards spinning on vinyl can now choose the DJControl Inpulse T7 motorized DJ controller at an industry-leading price of just USD 699.99. The controller will officially start taking preorders on June 21 and will be commercially available worldwide on July 31, 2023.

The DJControl Inpulse T7 features two 7-inch/17.8-cm motorized jog wheels for DJs to nudge as they spin. They can also separate the authentic vinyl discs and felt slipmats from the metal platters for a genuine turntable feeling. The Inpulse T7 also has a standard mixer layout, including 3.9” / 10-cm tempo faders, 3x EQ knobs, a gain knob, a volume fader, a VU meter, FX paddle, and a Filter knob per deck. It also boasts a centralized crossfader, Master VU meter, and FX section. DJs can mix, beat, match, or scratch on standard-sized platters that go from 0 to 33⅓ RPM in just a tenth of a second.

The Inpulse T7 is fully compatible with Serato DJ Lite (included) and Serato DJ Pro (paid upgrade), including native one-button Stems control to create personalized mixes on the fly easily. It also features built-in beat-match guides to assist DJs in spinning on motorized platters. To assist users in learning how to use the new controller, Hercules is expanding their DJ Academy library of educational videos to include a series of Tips and Tricks videos that let users explore the Inpulse T7 and mixing on motorized platters using Serato and all the new features of their new controller.

Hercules’ partnership with Serato is also evident in the praise that Nick Maclaren, Serato Chief Strategy Officer, has given the DJControl Inpulse T7: “We’re proud of our long-standing partnership with Hercules and the role we played in designing the DJControl Inpulse T7. With motorized platters, Serato Stems controls, and other intuitive features, this controller is perfect for DJs of all levels. We can’t wait to see the unique performances and mashups that Serato DJs will create with this innovative hardware.”

The DJControl Inpulse T7 will be available for purchase starting July 31, 2023, at an MSRP of €699.99 / £649.99 in Europe and USD 699.99 / $969.99 CAD in the United States and Canada. Brazil, Japan, and Mexico are among the other priority Day 1 countries where the controller will be available. It will continue to roll out across South America, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East throughout 2023.
