Belgian DJ and producer Kenn Colt has spent much of his career finding ways to connect the melodic, accessible side of dance music with the records he wants to play in clubs.

That balance has taken him from Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival Korea to an extensive residency at Belgium’s Club Versuz, and it continues to shape the music he releases through his own imprint, Feels Like Home Records.

His latest single, “I’m Good,” sees him working once again with German producer KHAG3, bringing together the vocal hooks and melodic writing that have become familiar elements of Colt’s productions with the punchier drums and basslines associated with contemporary tech house. Set for release on October 29, the collaboration aims for that crossover between the club and the wider dance music audience, where a memorable vocal can be as important as the groove underneath.

I think this is an interesting direction for Colt, especially given how much of his recent output has focused on revisiting recognizable musical ideas and giving them new context. That approach has an obvious commercial element, but when it’s handled well, it can also make house music approachable for listeners who don’t spend their weekends digging through underground releases.

“I’m Good” continues that thinking, with the production framed around an uplifting vocal and enough rhythmic energy to keep the record connected to the dancefloor.

Kenn Colt and KHAG3 Bring Their Approaches Together

Colt and KHAG3 have worked together before, so the collaboration comes with an established creative relationship. The new single builds around the things they have in common: catchy melodies, direct songwriting, and dance music that doesn’t shy away from being accessible.

The promotional material describes “I’m Good” as a vocal-driven deep tech and tech house record, with a prominent melodic hook, driving percussion, and a substantial low end. It is designed to work across different listening environments, from club sets to festival performances and everyday playlists.

That versatility has become increasingly important for artists working in this part of house music. The gap between mainstream dance music and club-oriented production is not particularly wide anymore, at least when it comes to the records DJs are willing to play. A recognizable vocal can help bring people into a track, while the arrangement and low-frequency elements determine how well it functions when played through a proper system.

KHAG3 brings an established production background of his own.

Born Kevin Holck and based in Stuttgart, he has released music through Hexagon, SSL Music, 2-Dutch, and Chapter Eight, developing an approach centered on melodic hooks and energetic electronic production. His performance history also includes appearances alongside Mike Cervello, BUNT., and Dastic.

That background makes him a natural collaborator for Colt. They share a similar musical vocabulary, and neither seems particularly interested in making dance music unnecessarily hard to understand.

Of course, accessibility doesn’t automatically make a record memorable. What ultimately determines that is whether the melody gives listeners something to remember and whether the production has enough personality to carry the idea beyond its initial hook.

The Career Behind the New Single

Colt has accumulated more than 50 million Spotify streams and performed at events including Tomorrowland Belgium, TomorrowWorld in the United States, Ultra Music Festival Korea, and Sunburn Festival India.

His career has also included a long-running residency at Club Versuz in Belgium, which has given him a consistent relationship with club audiences alongside his international festival appearances.

That combination of experience helps explain the direction of his records. Playing large events teaches an artist how immediately a musical idea needs to communicate, while regular club appearances provide a different understanding of pacing, groove, and the relationship between tracks over the course of an evening.

Those are complementary skills, particularly for a producer making vocal-led house music that needs to function in several environments.

Colt has also developed Feels Like Home Radio, a weekly mix series that provides another outlet for his musical interests. The show regularly features tech house, melodic house, Afro house, and festival-oriented releases, bringing different corners of his catalog into the same programming.

Interestingly, he’s already featured “I’m Good” in his radio programming ahead of the official release. That offers listeners an early look at how Colt is positioning the record among the music he currently plays and supports.

And while radio programming is its own promotional channel, I think there’s value in artists maintaining regular mixes alongside their releases. It gives listeners a little more context for their taste, especially when they are releasing across several house subgenres.

“I’m Good” is live as of October 29, 2026, through Feels Like Home Records, with radio and extended edits available.

Save “I’m Good”.
