MYLAMINE has returned to Electronic Brew Records with “Kessi,” a new deep house single released October 30 that continues his interest in jazz-influenced harmony, soulful vocals, and the relationship between acoustic musical ideas and electronic percussion. The track follows a consistent run of releases over the past two years, including “Setting Sun,” “Kindred Soul,” “Gravity,” and “Elevation87,” each contributing to an increasingly recognizable production style built around the musical characteristics of classic deep house.
I’ve covered MYLAMINE’s music before, and one thing I appreciate about his approach is how much attention he gives to each musical component of a track. His productions tend to incorporate developed chord progressions, melodic instrumental parts, and percussion that supports the harmonic material without requiring constant changes in the arrangement. That approach has remained relatively consistent across his recent releases, although the balance between vocals, synthesizers, and rhythmic elements changes from one record to the next.
“Kessi” continues that direction with original vocal material, prominent chord work, and percussion informed by traditional house production. The single also arrives shortly after MYLAMINE discussed some of his musical influences in an October feature with Mixmag Netherlands, selecting records that helped inform his interest in jazz harmony, sampling, and soulful electronic music.
Those influences add context to the direction of “Kessi,” especially as he continues developing his catalog through Electronic Brew Records.
A Consistent Run Of Releases On Electronic Brew Records
MYLAMINE’s relationship with Electronic Brew Records has developed through a series of singles that began with earlier material including “Chasm” and “Find My Way.” Throughout 2025, he released “Setting Sun,” “Kindred Soul,” and “Gravity,” followed by “Come With Me (Stay)” in February 2026 and “Elevation87” in June.
Those recordings clearly indicate the musical interests he has continued developing. “Kindred Soul,” released August 15, 2025, combined jazz-oriented instrumentation with soulful house production, while “Gravity,” released December 5, introduced another arrangement centered on keys, rhythmic movement, and melodic vocal material.
“Elevation87” continued that direction in June 2026, featuring chord progressions, original vocals, and a bassline that supports the main musical arrangement.
When I covered “Come With Me (Stay)” earlier this year, the recording demonstrated how he could develop a house arrangement around a relatively contained collection of musical ideas. The track paired a rolling bassline with restrained vocals, melodic synthesizers, and percussion that maintained a consistent rhythmic structure.
“Kessi” continues that broader approach while placing additional emphasis on its chord work and original vocals.

The Records Influencing MYLAMINE’s Production
Shortly before the release of “Kessi,” MYLAMINE contributed a feature to Mixmag Netherlands examining five recordings that have influenced his approach to house music. His selections included Alexny’s “Bourbon Street Cafe,” which he identified for its keyboard playing and jazz-oriented musical character, alongside records representing other aspects of his interest in house production.
A relatively uncomplicated bassline can provide enough movement beneath extended chords, for example, while short instrumental phrases can introduce changes without substantially altering the underlying progression.
That approach is also connected to a longer history of jazz influences within house music. Producers such as Larry Heard, Kerri Chandler, and other artists associated with deep house have incorporated extended harmony, keyboard performances, and soul influences into recordings developed around electronic percussion.
The importance of instrumental arrangement also came up in our interview with Fabian Balino, where we discussed his approach to deep and soulful house, including the relationship between organic instrumentation, percussion, and the production decisions behind his music.
For MYLAMINE, his continued use of jazz-influenced chords and expressive instrumentation provides a consistent musical direction across multiple releases, while individual tracks allow him to experiment with different arrangements.
MYLAMINE Continues Building His Catalog With “Kessi”
“Kessi” arrives after a period of consistent activity for MYLAMINE, with his productions receiving attention from Jazzanova, Deeper Shades of House, and electronic music publications including Mixmag Latin America and Mixmag Adria. That support has helped introduce his music to listeners associated with different areas of deep and soulful house, while Electronic Brew Records has continued releasing the material through its established digital distribution channels.
There is also an important distinction between maintaining a consistent production style and repeating an identical arrangement. MYLAMINE’s catalog demonstrates how different records can share similar harmonic influences while changing the relationship between percussion, vocals, bass, and instrumental parts.
“Kessi” continues that development through its combination of original vocals, detailed chord writing, and house percussion. The release maintains the musical direction established across his recent singles while adding another recording to a catalog that has become increasingly focused on soulful and jazz-influenced deep house.
The single is available now through Electronic Brew Records. Listeners can stream or purchase “Kessi” on Bandcamp, and follow MYLAMINE on Instagram for additional music and updates
