Last week, GHENGAR made it clear that a new era had begun. In a statement to fans, the DJ-producer hybrid explained that after years of navigating the contrast between Ghastly and GHENGAR, the two projects would now move forward as fully separate worlds. Ghastly would return to its roots in 4×4 and experimental bass, while GHENGAR would embrace deathcore-heavy tearout and his own vocals.

Now comes the first major release to back that up.

“AUTOPSY BUFFET,” GHENGAR’s new collaboration with Chassi, is a ruthless display of where the project is headed. The track wastes no time establishing its tone, opening with horror-coded spoken vocals before launching into crushing guitars, tension-heavy builds, and a drop designed to trigger instant crowd reaction.

A New Identity Comes Into Focus

The production balances chaos with control. There are thunderous drum patterns, jagged synth attacks, and enough low-end pressure to make it a likely favorite for rail riders and moshpit circles alike. Yet beneath the violence is a clear sense of structure, showing how refined GHENGAR’s sound design has become.

Chassi proves to be an ideal collaborator. His own hard-hitting style complements GHENGAR’s darker aesthetic, helping “AUTOPSY BUFFET” feel like more than a one-off collab. It sounds like two artists meeting at full intensity.

The release also arrives alongside a major platform win, with GHENGAR featured on Spotify’s Dubstep Don cover. For a project that has steadily separated itself from his Ghastly identity, that placement feels symbolic. GHENGAR is no longer an alternate outlet. It is now a front-line force in heavy bass music.

What makes this moment compelling is the clarity behind it. Many artists talk about reinvention, but few define their lanes this sharply. GHENGAR has done exactly that, and “AUTOPSY BUFFET” serves as the first full-force demonstration.

Raised in upstate New York, I was always a big fan of music but never really listened to electronic music. Within the first month of attending Florida State University and meeting some new friends, I was introduced to the rave scene. After seeing Ekali at my first show, I was instantly hooked. Since then, I have dived into every subgenre of electronic music, picked up DJing, and mixed for clubs and different entertainment events in Tallahassee. Once graduating with degrees in marketing and hospitality, I was hired for a sales position. However, I recently decided to leave my sales job to pursue my dream of working in the music industry. Currently, I run Magnetic Magazine's Melodic Techno Charts, along with my role as a PR and marketing specialist for different artists and labels. Some of my favorite artists are REZZ, Kyle Watson, TOBEHONEST, San Pacho, Josh Baker, HUGEL, ARTBAT, Vintage Culture, Ganja White Night, CamelPhat, Green Velvet, Jungle, Milky Chance, Paco Versailles, Franc Moody, and RÜFUS DU SOL. My favorite festivals are Hulaween (by far), EDC Orlando, and all the different venues during Miami Music Week. Outside of music, I love sports (especially hockey, soccer, tennis, basketball, and spike ball), going to the movies, working out, sushi, Chick-fil-A, food in general, and hanging with my dog Maui and my cat Loki. Feel free to reach out to me via my email or on IG, I love expanding my network of friends and business opportunities!
