Every so often, an artist appears with a story that grows layer by layer, lesson by lesson – until suddenly you realize they’ve built something with real gravity.
OGGY, the London-based singer, songwriter, and actress also known as Olga Savic, is one of those artists. Her new single, “Another Dream”, is certainly the moment all the years of training, self-doubt, persistence, and late-night open-mic courage converge into a sound that finally speaks in her own voice.
OGGY’s journey didn’t begin with her debut single. It began long before, in private vocal lessons, in the halls of Kingston University where she earned her MMus in Music Performance, in the quiet discipline of learning guitar, piano, and ukulele, and in the slow construction of artistic confidence. Unfortunately, that confidence didn’t come easy. For years she struggled to believe she had anything singular to offer until a short songwriting course with Aidan Martin became a turning point. Melody and emotional honesty revealed themselves as her native language.

“Another Dream” carries the echoes of that. It’s a pop-rock release with the emotional voltage of Fall Out Boy, but its centre of gravity is unmistakably hers. The chorus (“Another dream come to end… A thousand dreams will die again”) sits at the intersection of longing and resignation, a place where love dissolves but the heart isn’t quite ready to follow. OGGY writes from lived experience, but aims for the universal: that pain of trying to hold onto something already flickering out. Such a complex feeling is hard to transcribe in music. OGGY does it with relative ease.
Since 2021, she’s been building her world through gigs at Dalston’s Mustache Bar, endless open mics, self-driven promotion, radio interviews, and blog features. And now, “Another Dream” is the next step. A sign of an artist who’s put in the hours, and an artist who is about to get the respect she deserves.
