COSTA has officially made his debut on Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats imprint with “Dimension,” a tightly constructed bass record that brings the producer’s evolving sound from festival stages to streaming platforms.
The New York-born artist builds “Dimension” around sharp contrasts. Laser-cut arpeggiators and soaring synth lines establish a clean, melodic foundation before the track drops into wonky bass, deep wubs, and heavier low-end pressure. Rather than relying on sheer force throughout, COSTA gives the production room to move between polished melodic passages and more abrasive bursts of dubstep.
That balance offers another look at the sound COSTA has been developing after initially building a following through flips and remixes. His reworks of records from Timbaland, Tove Lo, and Selena Gomez helped his SoundCloud catalog surpass five million streams in its first year, while his productions have since earned support from Excision, Subtronics, Crankdat, Levity, ALLEYCVT, and Zeds Dead.
From Online Momentum to the Deadbeats Roster
This Deadbeats release arrives as COSTA continues translating that online growth into a larger presence across the bass circuit. Recent appearances have included Red Rocks, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest’s Honeycomb stage, and Forbidden Kingdom, where his afternoon set reached capacity. He also previously appeared at Splash House.
“Dimension” feels particularly suited to that environment. Its melodic builds create anticipation without softening the impact of the drops, while its head-nodding grooves and detailed bass programming give the track enough movement to work beyond a straightforward festival weapon. The result is a release that retains the aggressive edge associated with COSTA while offering a clearer sense of his own production identity.
With Deadbeats now added to his growing list of milestones, COSTA enters the fall with another meaningful co-sign behind his original material. Upcoming appearances at Subtronics’ Cyclops Cove and Suwannee Hulaween will keep him on the road, but “Dimension” is ultimately more important as a studio statement: an increasingly confident producer beginning to define what a COSTA record sounds like on its own terms.

Raised in upstate New York, I was always a big fan of music but never really listened to electronic music. Within the first month of attending Florida State University and meeting some new friends, I was introduced to the rave scene. After seeing Ekali at my first show, I was instantly hooked. Since then, I have dived into every subgenre of electronic music, picked up DJing, and mixed for clubs and different entertainment events in Tallahassee. Once graduating with degrees in marketing and hospitality, I was hired for a sales position. However, I recently decided to leave my sales job to pursue my dream of working in the music industry. Currently, I run Magnetic Magazine's Melodic Techno Charts, along with my role as a PR and marketing specialist for different artists and labels. Some of my favorite artists are REZZ, Kyle Watson, TOBEHONEST, San Pacho, Josh Baker, HUGEL, ARTBAT, Vintage Culture, Ganja White Night, CamelPhat, Green Velvet, Jungle, Milky Chance, Paco Versailles, Franc Moody, and RÜFUS DU SOL. My favorite festivals are Hulaween (by far), EDC Orlando, and all the different venues during Miami Music Week. Outside of music, I love sports (especially hockey, soccer, tennis, basketball, and spike ball), going to the movies, working out, sushi, Chick-fil-A, food in general, and hanging with my dog Maui and my cat Loki. Feel free to reach out to me via my email or on IG, I love expanding my network of friends and business opportunities!
