Australian band PARCELS brought their LOVED tour to Kansas City on October 6th, a gorgeous Tuesday evening at the stunning Midland Theater, with opening band The Booyah! Kids.

The evening’s festivities began with NYC 3-piece act The Booyah! Kids (Julian, Aidan, and Emma) kicking things off with a lively 30-minute set to get the Kansas City crowd moving! Their set featured songs from their most recent EP, Cover Girl, as well as tracks from their LP’s Paralyzed and Booyah.

The crowd only had to wait 30 minutes before PARCELS took the stage, launching into an 18-song trek through their catalog. The first half of the show primarily featured the 5-piece, Berlin-based band performing with a minimal light show, putting the spotlight on their flawless harmonies and exceptional musicianship.

Fans were not disappointed by the band’s song selection, with show opener “Tobeloved”, followed up with hits “Safeandsound”, “Gamesofluck”, and “Yougotmefeeling” amongst the stellar 18-song setlist.

In a surprising moment of tribute to one of their influences, the band covered Kavinky’s “Nightcall”, which brought cheers from the appreciative crowd.

The second half of the performance found the band and the crowd feeding off of each other’s energy, with the audience singing and dancing to every song, bringing a joyous vibe that was undeniable!

To say that the Kansas City audience and the gorgeous Midland Theater surprised the band is an understatement, and they extended their appreciation, talking to the audience about the beautiful venue and how kind the people of Kansas City had been to them, including a little nod to Chief’s Kingdom, which drew cheers!

PARCELS still has a handful of US dates left on the LOVED tour, so make sure to grab a ticket to a night that will be one to remember!
