Since launching Hot Creations in 2010 alongside Lee Foss, Jamie Jones has played a central role in shaping the label into one of house music’s most consistent forces. With releases that helped launch the careers of artists like Patrick Topping, Richy Ahmed, and wAFF, the label has maintained a steady presence at the forefront of the global club circuit. While Jamie has released music on a wide range of platforms in recent years, Murder Mystery brings the focus back to where it started.
A Groover with Familiar DNA
Murder Mystery feels like Jamie returning to home territory.
The track pulls together the driving low-end, sharp percussion, and hypnotic tension that have defined some of his strongest records. There’s a subtle playfulness running through the mix, but the real work happens underneath. The bassline is constantly in motion, with a slightly off-kilter swing that keeps the groove unsettled in a way that DJs will appreciate.

Celebrating 15 Years of Hot Creations
The release comes during a standout year for the label. Alongside weekly takeovers of the UNVRS Bunker throughout the Ibiza season, Hot Creations has booked a run of Paradise events to cap off the milestone. Recent stops include a packed Ibiza Closing Party, dates with Warehouse Project, and an Amsterdam Dance Event showcase. Stateside, the anniversary tour continues with Jamie headlining shows in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami.
Before Murder Mystery, Jamie appeared on the label this year with a collaborative release alongside Nicole Moudaber and House Of Molly. That track leaned heavier into the melodic techno space, while Murder Mystery brings things back toward a more minimal, house-driven feel.

When not running these labels or producing his own music, Vance is likely writing for other top industry sites like Waves or the Hyperbits Masterclass or working on his upcoming book on mindfulness in music production. On the rare chance he's not thinking about music production, he's probably running a game of Dungeons and Dragons with his friends which he has been the dungeon master for for many years.
