Malóne and CJ Jeff have teamed up with vocalist Ellivia to deliver a fresh Afro House cover of the 1994 hit “Missing” by Everything But The Girl. Just released under Spinnin’ Records’ sub-label Spinnin’ Deep, this track offers a contemporary take on the beloved original.
CJ Jeff, known for his innovative production techniques and extensive experience in the electronic music scene, brings his expertise to this project. Previously collaborating with Ellivia on “One Two Three,” CJ Jeff’s unique style meshes perfectly with Malóne’s renowned house grooves and precise percussion.
“Missing (Back To You)” grabs listeners with its engaging lyrics and an Afro House bassline designed to move audiences. The track features intricate percussion layers, creating a tribal vibe ideal for both clubs and casual listening.
Malóne recently concluded a successful Latin America tour, headlining shows in Peru, Chile, and Argentina, including a sold-out performance in Buenos Aires.
He also collaborated with Sounds Of Rituals and Jay Wheeler on “Cuando Fue,” a house remake of Wheeler’s reggaeton hit.
Reflecting on the new release, Malóne stated, “We wanted to recreate this classic as properly as possible – a special vibe for the summer season, for all the beach clubs and open air vibes worldwide. Afro House is one of the biggest sounds in the world right now, so we thought writing something in this lane and style was a great choice of action. ‘Missing (Back To You)’ is melodic with strong drums to create those truly unforgettable moments in a set and party. We are honored about this opportunity to rework such an amazing classic.”
CJ Jeff’s contributions to the project highlight his ability to blend different elements to create tracks with a signature attitude. Known for his work on labels like 8Bit, Circus Recordings, and Stereo Productions, CJ Jeff continues to push the boundaries of electronic music.
Malóne, a standout in the dance music scene, has been recognized as one of the ‘Future of Dance Artists’ by 1001 Tracklists and featured in DJ Mag Spain. Known for his dynamic sound and captivating performances, Malóne has ignited dancefloors globally, with notable appearances at Hï Ibiza alongside The Martinez Brothers and EDC Las Vegas. His recent collaborations and tour successes have marked 2024 as a breakout year.

Raised in upstate New York, I was always a big fan of music but never really listened to electronic music. Within the first month of attending Florida State University and meeting some new friends, I was introduced to the rave scene. After seeing Ekali at my first show, I was instantly hooked. Since then, I have dived into every subgenre of electronic music, picked up DJing, and mixed for clubs and different entertainment events in Tallahassee. Once graduating with degrees in marketing and hospitality, I was hired for a sales position. However, I recently decided to leave my sales job to pursue my dream of working in the music industry. Currently, I run Magnetic Magazine's Melodic Techno Charts, along with my role as a PR and marketing specialist for different artists and labels. Some of my favorite artists are REZZ, Kyle Watson, TOBEHONEST, San Pacho, Josh Baker, HUGEL, ARTBAT, Vintage Culture, Ganja White Night, CamelPhat, Green Velvet, Jungle, Milky Chance, Paco Versailles, Franc Moody, and RÜFUS DU SOL. My favorite festivals are Hulaween (by far), EDC Orlando, and all the different venues during Miami Music Week. Outside of music, I love sports (especially hockey, soccer, tennis, basketball, and spike ball), going to the movies, working out, sushi, Chick-fil-A, food in general, and hanging with my dog Maui and my cat Loki.
