Edu Schwartz returns to Magnetic Magazine Recordings with “This Feeling,” out today, October 2, 2026. The Brazilian DJ and producer’s latest single carries catalog number MMR073 and marks the label’s 73rd signing. Available on Beatport as an Original Mix.

It follows previous releases with us, including “Outta My Head” and this summer’s “Pope-A-Dope.”

Edu Schwartz Returns After “Pope-A-Dope”

Edu has been part of the conversation at Magnetic for several years, with releases, interviews, and playlist features giving readers different points of entry into his music. In July, I wrote about “Pope-A-Dope”, released on Magnetic Magazine Recordings as MMR070. That single continued his relationship with the label after “Outta My Head,” which we premiered in June 2025 ahead of its official release.

The “Outta My Head” premiere identified that record as his first original on the label, following an earlier remix.

For anyone discovering Edu with “This Feeling,” those releases are a good place to start exploring his work. They also show that today’s release comes from an ongoing relationship between the artist and the label, with several records already available for listeners to revisit.

In our Artist of the Week interview, Edu explained that he began DJing in 2005 and took his first production course in 2013. His initial reason for learning production was straightforward: he wanted exclusive material for his sets. Releasing music took time, and he said seven years passed before his first track came out.

That account is worth revisiting because it gives specific context to his catalog. Producing began as an extension of his DJ work, with original material allowing him to bring something of his own to his performances. He also credited the Warung crew with inviting him to play and releasing his first track on their label. His time attending parties in Ibiza further influenced his approach to DJing.

Releases On Where The Heart Is Records

Our earlier articles have also followed Edu’s releases on David Hohme’s Where The Heart Is Records. We wrote about his “Open Heart” EP in 2023 and “With Me” in July 2024. The latter article discussed its darker vocal treatment and club-focused production, alongside a catalog that included releases on Circle of Life and Words Not Enough.

The “Open Heart” EP paired its title track with “A Poem For Every Day Of The Year.” Our article discussed the strings and percussion across the release, documenting another side of his writing before the later singles we have featured on Magnetic and released on our label.

Those records offer additional listening for anyone getting acquainted with Edu today.

His work with Jack District under the Duo State name adds a collaborative project to that catalog. In our 2024 interview, he described their ambition to perform sets made entirely from original tracks, connecting the project directly to the reason he started producing.

“This Feeling” adds another original release to Edu’s history with Magnetic Magazine Recordings. Beatport lists the track at 122 BPM in C major. You can find the Original Mix on Beatport now under catalog number MMR073.
