Are You Ready for WisdoMania Fest?

Are you ready to channel pain into power? Burdens into blessings? Experience growth and heal yourself and the world? If so, you’re ready for WisdoMania Fest. WisdoMania Fest is an immersive wellness and arts festival held in May (Mental Health Month). This year, the free event will be held in Los Angeles, California, on May 17 and 19.

This unique festival is a rallying point for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies, designed to create a transformative space for healing, creativity, and advocacy. Co-hosted by the WisdoMania Foundation and Tangible Movement, two nonprofits founded by individuals from the LGBTQ+ community who live with mental illness, the event aims to turn personal trials into triumphs through the arts and wellness.

A Mission of Healing and Creativity

At the helm of WisdoMania Foundation is X. ARI, a queer artist and songwriter who has transformed her struggle with co-morbid disorders from a state of crisis to thriving. Through creativity, therapy, and self-care, she has found balance, health, and happiness, a journey she is eager to share with others. The foundation offers incredible programs that embody X. ARI’s mission to heal and empower others by leveraging the arts and wellness as powerful tools for recovery and self-discovery.

Joining her in this mission is Torri Shack, a mental health, suicide prevention, and transgender advocate. As a transgender man and the CEO/Founder of Tangible Movement, Shack brings his personal experiences of recovery from addiction, eating disorders, and mental illness to the forefront of his advocacy work. His leadership in this space has been instrumental in creating a platform that destigmatizes mental health challenges and LGBTQIA2S+ issues, fostering a community where everyone’s story and identity are respected and valued.

A Vision for the Future

WisdoMania Fest is the beginning of what its founders hope will become the “Coachella of Wellness”—a major festival where thousands can unite to heal, celebrate the arts, and embrace the LGBTQ+ community in a collective journey of recovery and joy. The festival aspires to leave a lasting impact by offering workshops and experiences that blend wellness practices with creative expression, such as songwriting sessions that culminate in a collaborative song, recorded and released, with all participants credited as songwriters.

What to Expect at WisdoMania Fest

This year’s festival promises a range of activities designed to nurture both body and soul. Day one at Griffith Park will feature The Liber8Xperience, combining flow yoga, ecstatic dance, and a sound bath—activities meant to liberate and rejuvenate participants. The evening will close with a musica lperformance by Chloe Star, setting the stage for a weekend of deep connection and introspection.

Day two shifts the focus to mental entertainment at Catch One, with a program including a Songwriting for Wellness workshop, a mental health panel discussion, and performances by queer artists and allies, including X. ARI herself. This carefully curated lineup ensures that attendees will leave not only with new insights and coping skills but also with a profound sense of community and belonging.

Join the Movement

As we approach May, the question isn’t just whether you’re ready for WisdoMania Fest but whether you’re prepared to embrace the transformation it promises. This festival isn’t just an event. It’s a movement toward a brighter, more inclusive future where every individual has the tools and community support to turn their pain into power. Are you ready to be a part of it?
