Joseph Capriati and his Metamorfosi have wrapped its 2026 Amnesia Ibiza season, closing a 14-week Tuesday residency with a sold-out B3B from Capriati, Jamie Jones, and Chris Stussy on September 29.

That is a clean final image for a residency that was never pitched as a narrow one-artist victory lap. Metamorfosi returned Capriati to a room tied closely to his own rise, but the season worked because it widened the frame around him. Across the summer, the lineup pulled from house, techno, Ibiza veterans, current club heavyweights, and newer names pushing the island’s underground language forward.

The closing night carried that same idea.

It puts three different forms of club authority in the same booth: Capriati’s techno-rooted drive, Jones’ long Ibiza history and house command, and Stussy’s modern groove-led pull. On paper, that is a big closing statement. In the room, it makes sense as a summary of what Metamorfosi has been trying to do all summer.

The afterparty at 528, billed as “THE DAY AFTER,” extended the closing beyond the final Amnesia slot. That feels right for Ibiza. A season rarely ends cleanly at the official closing time. It bleeds into the next day, the next terrace, the next round of conversations about what the summer actually meant.

Capriati’s Metamorfosi project has already expanded beyond the party itself. I covered that larger ecosystem in my piece on Metamorfosi Records launching with Dennis Cruz and Capriati’s “No Sleep”, and the Amnesia season feels like the live expression of the same idea: a brand built around evolution, not just booking power.

The 14-Week Run Had Range

Running every Tuesday from June 30 to September 29, Metamorfosi landed inside Amnesia’s 50th anniversary year, which gave the residency extra context. Amnesia is not just another Ibiza venue. It is one of the rooms that helped define how large-scale club culture sounds, looks, and behaves on the island.

Capriati’s return to that setting gave the season a personal layer, but the programming kept it from becoming nostalgic. The lineup included Richie Hawtin, Jamie Jones, Chris Stussy, Seth Troxler, Mau P, Josh Baker, Max Dean, Ben Klock, Maceo Plex, WhoMadeWho, Damian Lazarus, Freddy K, Cloonee, Dubfire, Anfisa Letyago, Traumer, Fatima Hajji, and Wade.

That is a broad spread, but not an unfocused one. The Terrace could move across house, groove-heavy club music, big-room moments, and peak Ibiza energy, while the Club Room handled the darker and more techno-focused side of the residency. That dual-room format gave Metamorfosi more depth than a simple main-stage parade of names.

Jamie Jones’ role in the closing also fits the island’s larger house lineage. He has long been one of the artists most closely tied to Ibiza’s modern club identity, and his recent Hot Creations work still shows how he thinks about groove as a long game. I covered that recently in my article on Jamie Jones returning to Hot Creations for the label’s 15th anniversary.

The B3B Worked as a Final Chapter

A closing party should feel like a summary without turning into a museum piece.

Capriati, Jamie Jones, and Chris Stussy gave Metamorfosi a final booth combination that could reach across the season’s main ideas: techno weight, house instinct, and a groove-forward language that still feels current.

Stussy’s role in that B3B is worth noting. His rise has not been built on shock value or heavy branding. It has come from records and sets that understand groove as its own form of pressure. I covered that rise in my piece on Chris Stussy plotting his biggest U.S. shows yet, and his presence here says a lot about where major Ibiza programming is heading.

The closing reportedly mixed new IDs, summer classics, and slick grooves.

That is the correct formula for a night like this. Closings need familiar release, but they also need enough new material to feel alive. The room should recognize the summer it just had while still hearing what comes next.

That tension is what Metamorfosi handled well across the season. The brand is tied to Capriati’s history, but the programming did not sit still inside it.

Metamorfosi Leaves Amnesia With a Clear 2026 Chapter

With the closing complete, Metamorfosi’s 2026 Amnesia Ibiza season ends as one of the more visible Tuesday residencies of the summer, especially inside the club’s 50th anniversary year.

The numbers and names help tell the story: 14 weeks, a sold-out closing, a major B3B, an afterparty at 528, and a lineup that brought together Richie Hawtin, Jamie Jones, Chris Stussy, Seth Troxler, Mau P, Ben Klock, Maceo Plex, WhoMadeWho, Damian Lazarus, Cloonee, Dubfire, Anfisa Letyago, Traumer, Fatima Hajji, Wade, and more.

But the better read is simpler. Metamorfosi worked because it gave Capriati room to return to Amnesia without making the season only about return. It treated the club’s history as a starting point, then built a season across house, techno, newer names, established selectors, Terrace moments, and Club Room pressure.

That is how a residency earns its closing night. Not with one sold-out party, but by making that final party feel like the right ending to the summer it just built.
