Most destination festivals ask a fixed venue to carry the entire weekend. SXM Festival takes another approach, spreading its programming across beaches, villas, clubs and hilltops on the French and Dutch sides of one Caribbean island.
That format returns from March 17–21, 2027, when SXM Festival celebrates its tenth edition on Saint-Martin and Sint Maarten. Bob Sinclar, MEDUZA, Sasha, Claptone, Dombresky’s Disco Dom project and Franky Rizardo lead the first group of confirmed artists, with additional names and anniversary programming still to come.

SXM Festival 2027 Phase One Lineup
The opening announcement covers a broad section of contemporary house and techno.
Dennis Cruz, Guy Gerber, Patrick Topping, Chelina Manuhutu, Deer Jade, Matt Sassari and Max Styler join the headline names, while Indo Warehouse, Pauza, Nico de Andrea and Tom & Collins bring their own regional and stylistic perspectives to the island.
Brunello, Elvis Guetta, Gudfella, Hilel Lev, Jackie Hollander, Julia Sandstorm, Linska, Malive, Mellizos, Sapian, Sistek, Tini Gessler and Tony Romera complete the first announcement. The range gives SXM room to program smaller coastal parties alongside larger nighttime events without asking every artist to serve the same type of dancefloor.
That distinction is central to the festival. SXM has no single main site that guests enter each afternoon.
Attendees move between locations during the five-day run, spending time on both sides of the island and encountering different settings as each day develops.
Why The Tenth Edition Carries Extra Meaning
SXM launched in 2016 and has since dealt with circumstances far outside normal festival planning.
Hurricane Irma devastated Saint-Martin in 2017, prompting festival community members to support local recovery efforts. A pandemic-related pause later interrupted the event once again.
Its tenth edition consequently represents a long relationship between the organizers and the island. Local crews, restaurants, hotels, villa operators, drivers and boat companies all play a role in hosting an audience that has recently included visitors from at least 58 countries.
The anniversary also comes without an attempt to abandon the smaller, distributed format that established SXM’s identity. The organizers are keeping the five-day island model while preparing additional parties, artists and anniversary events for future announcements.
Five-day passes are currently available from the official SXM Festival website, which also carries accommodation packages, travel information and concierge options. SXM Festival is restricted to guests aged 18 and older, with valid photo identification needed at its venues.
For its tenth edition, SXM has a lineup large enough to pull international attention.
The better reason to watch, however, is how the event treats Saint-Martin and Sint Maarten as active parts of the festival rather than scenery around a conventional festival site.
