Premiere is a mesmerising journey through a realm of dark sounds and captivating soundscapes, with each track offering a unique sonic experience. The album opens with “Yet Again”, a disconcerting blend of alarming ringing sounds and a pulsating four-to-the-floor kick, immediately setting the tone for what’s to come. “If I Remember” tells the story of a past sexual assault experience, weaving a tapestry of dark and intriguing production elements – pushing the boundaries of sonic creativity. “V” combines soft harp plucks with neonme’s ethereal vocals, infusing a magical cinematic quality with subtle hip-hop elements. “As We Float” seduces with its sultry saxophone, similarly to “Tea” but taking a more Rnb turn, creating a seductive ambiance. neonme tells us about her process, “This album is the first piece of music that I write that feels completely true to myself as a musician. It took me a while to figure out who I was as a musician outside of a band as I’ve always had collaborators and created music through a somewhat compromised process. This task, figuring out my sound, was very overwhelming and it took me about four years to create the album from start to finish.
