Electronic music junkies, it’s time to cleanse your pallet. You have overindulged in bone-rattling bass, filthy synthlines and grimy “womps” too much as of late, and require a shot of something new to sober you up. Luckily for you, the Brandt Brauer Frick Ensemble is on the cusp of releasing a new album and embarking on a US tour to help you do just that.

The German-based trio, consisting of Daniel Brandt, Jan Brauer and Paul Frick, are mesmerize audiences all around the world with their unique synthesis of minimal electronic and classical instrumentation. To experience their subtly complex and beautiful arrangements, check out their version of Emika’s song “Pretend” we’ve attached for you. If you find yourself craving more intricate, minimal-orchestral-goodness, be sure to give their sophomore album a listen, titled Mr. Machine, which adds seven additional musicians to the core trio, bringing in a violin, cello, harp, trombone, tuba, timpani, marimba, vibraphone and even a Moog synthesizer into the already eclectic mix. Expect it out in the US on October 25 via !K7. The supporting tour is hitting a US town near you from October 24 – November 12, so be on the lookout.
