Edu Schwartz has been a well-known name in the melodic scene in South America for some time now. However, his delicate melodies and dance-friendly drum lines have only just begun to gain recognition globally in recent years. Despite being considered a smaller act, his production skills and talent behind the decks allow him to compete with some of the biggest stars in the industry. His latest two-track EP, released on David Hohme’s Where The Heart Is Records, features the title track ‘Open Heart’ and the denser and club-friendly ‘A Poem For Every Day Of The Heart.’
‘Open Heart’ is a perfect daytime party track with light strings and drifting, soulful vocals over organic percussions, subtle arps, and other melodic elements that create a rhythmic foundation. Meanwhile, ‘A Poem For Every Day Of The Year’ continues the string-themed vibe, but the syncopated string plucks create a darker and more ethereal atmosphere that is perfect for twilight and darker clubs. Edu’s signature organic drums and percussions drive the track from start to finish, delivering a high-impact journey that is worth repeating.
