The familiar signifiers of a music festival have become the bread and butter of some of our favorite events: overlapping stages, sprawling grounds, that moment of frantic set-time decisions, and the inevitable sprint across a venue to catch your must-see next artist. That’s not exactly what iHeartRadio Music Festival ticket holders experience.
Instead, some of the biggest names across pop, rock, hip-hop, country, K-pop, and electronic dance music descend on Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena in the heart of The Strip, masterfully rotating through a single stage for two nights with dizzying precision. This year was no exception.
From Sept. 18-19, Ryan Seacrest hosted a wild genre-spanning lineup including everyone from BTS to Benson Boone to Snoop Dogg, The Smashing Pumpkins, Major Lazer and more. One minute, the arena was shouting “Beverly Hills” with Weezer; the next, we were catching kisses from Kenny Chesney as he belted out his iconic “Beer in Mexico” track, not long after Cardi B transformed the stage into something entirely different. That is indeed the magic of the iHeartRadio Music Festival. I mean, where else can you see LE SSERAFIM, Lainey Wilson, and Ciara reasonably occupy the same festival poster?
But as the weekend of sound and spectacle unfolded, the festival’s name began to make more sense. Because the experience doesn’t end at T-Mobile Arena’s doors. It spills outside them.
Across the surrounding Las Vegas Strip, free activations, immersive artist experiences, and crowds of iHeartRadio Music Festival attendees, locals, and unsuspecting passersby expand the event beyond a star-studded arena show. Inside, the spectacle comes from a revolving door of some of music’s biggest names. Outside, iHeartRadio begins to feel like a festival.
One Stage, Every Genre
Las Vegas welcomed some of music’s biggest names during iHeartRadio Music Festival for two nights of epic performances. From guest appearances by folks like Charlamagne tha God and Jess Hilarious of The Breakfast Club to Raven-Symoné and Vegas royalty, Donny Osmond, it was indeed a star-studded back-to-back night.
Unlike a traditional multi-stage festival, where genre changes require walking across acres of grounds, iHeartRadio simply transforms the same room. T-Mobile Arena gave the crew a massive production canvas, and the team did not disappoint. The masterful set changes were a genuine part of the spectacle, and there was a lot to finagle.
Kenny Chesney opened night one with vigor, dropping down a familiar run of hits including “Get Along” and “American Kids.” Weezer followed with euphoric time travel, taking festival-goers back to their glory days. A special treat was an appearance by pop artist Remi Wolf during the beloved band’s set. The Goo Goo Dolls resurfaced their 1998 ballad, “Iris,” which has taken off again thanks to a nostalgic social media trend.
Cardi B kept the blood flowing and the peaches shakin with tracks like “I Like It,” “WAP,” and, of course, “Bodak Yellow.” But it was a wave of excitement toward the end of the night, as adoring BTS fans felt a rain of glory as the iconic K-Pop group made its iHeartRadio Music Festival debut, closing out night one.
Saturday continued the range of genres the festival is known for, kicking off the night with Benson Boone. He landed his oh-so-memorable backflip and dropped his must-belt-out track, “Beautiful Things.” LE SSERAFIM took the iHeartRadio Festival stage for the first time, performing “SPAGHETTI,” “CRAZY,” and more. As one artist disappeared, the presentation happened, the stage transformed, and suddenly the show indeed went on, with Muse getting us all out of our seats for back-to-back tracks including, of course, “Supermassive Black Hole.” Viral hit “Boston” had the crowd singing along, and Stella Lefty and the Smashing Pumpkins delivered a legendary set of “1979,” “Bullet with Butterfly Wings,” “Today,” and more.
Who doesn’t love a good tribute? One of the night’s most heartfelt moments came courtesy of Lainey Wilson, who, after a beautiful performance, made us all feel the presence of the late great Dolly Parton as she belted out “WWDD (What Would Dolly Do) and her classic “9 to 5” in honor of the icon.

As the night came to a close, the crowd was back on its feet, moving and grooving to the sounds of Ciara, who recently announced her fifth baby. But that did not stop the mover and shaker from doing more than a one-two step to classics including “GOODIES,” “LIKE A BOY,” and more.
For the EDM fans in the crowd, it was indeed a special night as iHeartRadio celebrated the contributions of Caribbean genres like dancehall and reggae mixed with club beats and house with Major Lazer. Visuals were on point throughout the two-day festival, but it was something alluring about Major Lazer’s set that reminded us all why they are who they are. All of this energy before Snoop Dogg closed out the two-day event with a surprise performance from Wiz Khalifa.
Big Visuals, Uneven Sound

A big part of any festival is not just hearing the music, but seeing and feeling it. Visually, iHeartRadio rarely missed. T-Mobile Arena’s massive screens, lighting, and well-timed pyrotechnics gave each artist room to create a distinct atmosphere. Sonically, however, the production wasn’t always as consistent. Sound levels dipped in certain areas, some vocals appeared delayed, and bass-heavy performances occasionally became muddy depending on where you were standing. Still, when the mix landed, the arena’s scale gave the festival’s biggest moments the weight they deserved.
Being inside T-Mobile Arena was a huge plus because of its amazing screens and lighting. The sets displayed images and videos to correspond with the music. Pyrotechnics appeared at the right moments, and each set had its own flavor and appeal.
Major Lazer Turns T-Mobile Into a Rave

Major Lazer brings high energy to any venue they’re performing at, and iHeartRadio Festival was no exception. The group-featuring Diplo, Walshy Fire, Ape Drums, and America Foster– got the audience jumping along to bass-heavy club beats and energetic remixes as blazing bursts of fire and flashing lights transformed the arena into an intense dance party.
Performing major hits and fan favorites like “Lean On,” “Watch Out For This,” “RoTATe,” and more, the performance was accompanied by professional dancers in front of the DJ booth, showing off intense choreography throughout the set.
Major Lazer rounded out their night on the House of Music stage for an exclusive post-show performance. Before the performance, Major Lazer also teased what’s next, revealing that a new album is in the works and could arrive as early as February 2027. The high-energy rave-style spectacle was one of the major highlights of the night.
The Festival Outside the Arena

Upon entering the packed night of music inside T-Mobile Arena, ticket holders, locals, and those just passing by were able to encounter the marvel that is iHeartRadio Music Festival. It’s hard to miss the huge Audible Ferris Wheel sitting outside the venue, a true signifier of a booming music festival, and everyone was able to enjoy it for free.
Also free: The House of Music! Presented by Hyundai, the mixed-reality immersive experience returned for its fourth year. Inspired by artists performing at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Festival, the immersive experience featured rooms dedicated to BTS, Cardi B, Kenny Chesney and Zara Larsson, alongside additional performances and activations. On Saturday, Stella Lefty took the House of Music stage for a pre-show performance. Major Lazer may have demonstrated that inside-outside relationship best: after turning T-Mobile Arena into a rave, the group headed outside for an exclusive House of Music set, extending the festival beyond the arena itself.
Fans were invited to make themselves at home as they explored interactive rooms, immersing themselves in the lives, music, and passions of their favorite artists and brands. Some of the brands in the installation included Presenting Partner Hyundai, Burlington, Capital One, KHLOE KARDASHIAN FRAGRANCES, LG, M&M’s ® and Sensodyne Clinical White. This is precisely what makes the whole event so special.

iHeartRadio Music Festival doesn’t look much like the sprawling, multi-stage gatherings typically associated with festival culture—and it doesn’t need to. Its identity lies somewhere between an arena spectacular and a citywide music experience, with the biggest names in music commanding the stage while the energy extends well beyond it.
Inside T-Mobile Arena, iHeart delivers the spectacle. Outside, Las Vegas helps turn it into something bigger.
