A submission gives us a chance to listen and decide whether the track fits what people come to this playlist to hear. It does not guarantee an add, a set number of streams, or a response to every entry. If the music fits, though, I would rather have a direct way to find it than leave an artist guessing where to send it.
What Music Fits Magnetic’s Spotify Playlist?
Start by listening to the playlist. It currently includes music from David Hohme, Volen Sentir, Budakid, Ben Pierre, Marsh, and other artists working around melodic, organic, and progressive house. The track list will change, so listening to what is there now will tell you far more about the selection than a fixed set of genre tags.
There is room for different approaches within that range.
Some tracks are built around a clear melodic phrase; others take their time and give the groove and production detail room to develop. I am interested in records that listeners can hear in the context of the full playlist, whether the artist has an established audience or has only recently begun releasing music.
If your song sits closer to a different style of electronic music, listen first and decide whether it belongs here. A track can be well produced and still be the wrong choice for a particular playlist. A link to your artist profile or an album page leaves us to guess which recording you had in mind. Include your artist name, your email address, and a brief description of why you think the track belongs on the playlist wherever the form asks for those details.
You do not need a long biography to explain a playlist submission. Tell me what you made and give me a reason to press play. “This is a melodic house release built around a restrained vocal and a progressive arrangement” tells me something I can check against the playlist. A paragraph promising that the song will change electronic music does not help me place it.
