The bike is described as a fat-tire e-bike for trails, rough terrain, and exploring beyond paved roads. That is the right direction for playa use. Burning Man is not mountain biking, but the surface is not smooth city pavement either. Fat tires make more sense when the ground gets dusty, soft, rutted, or unpredictable.
The extra battery is also the part that makes the sale easier to recommend. Charging logistics at Burning Man can be annoying, camp power is not always something you want to waste casually, and riding late into the week on a fading battery is a bad plan. For someone who wants the more premium fat-tire option and cares less about getting the biggest discount, Nomad 2X is the second clean fit.
Fold 1 Is the Smart Budget Pick

If I were targeting two Velotric bikes from this sale for a Burning Man article, I would choose the Nomad 2 and Nomad 2X.
