Music producers spend an enormous amount of time sitting down, whether they’re writing music, mixing records, managing labels, or handling the administrative work that comes with being an independent artist. I’ve written quite a bit about making studio environments healthier with standing desks and ergonomic furniture, but another part of that conversation deserves attention.
Regular exercise can support physical health, concentration, and creative thinking, and having a home workout space can make it much easier to fit movement into an already crowded production schedule.
AEKE is approaching that problem with its S1 Pro Smart Home Gym, a foldable strength-training system that provides up to 220 pounds of digitally controlled resistance without requiring a collection of traditional weight machines. The system combines adjustable exercise arms, AI-assisted movement tracking, and built-in safety controls in a unit that folds against the wall when it’s not being used. Its relatively small storage footprint makes it particularly interesting for producers working from home, where the studio, office, and personal spaces frequently compete for the same available square footage.
The company has also announced a Black Friday promotion running from November 19 through January 11, reducing the S1 Pro to $3,599 and the package with its B3S folding bench to an advertised $3,799.
The discounts reach $1,200 depending on the configuration and original retail price. It’s still a substantial investment, but the appeal for someone spending long hours in a home studio is the ability to complete a workout nearby without traveling to a gym or building a separate exercise room.

Why Regular Exercise Belongs in a Producer’s Routine
There’s a connection between physical activity and creative thinking that goes beyond simply feeling healthier. A 2022 systematic review and meta-analysis examining physical activity and creative ideation found a positive association between exercise and measures of creative thinking, with longer-term interventions producing larger effects than single exercise sessions. That doesn’t mean lifting weights will automatically help you finish a track, but it does support the idea that maintaining an active routine can contribute to cognitive processes involved in creative work.
I explored this relationship in my interview with producer Wassu about running and creativity, where he discussed how regular long-distance running contributed to his concentration and daily routine while balancing music production and touring. I’ve also addressed the physical demands of studio work in my FlexiSpot E7 standing desk review, particularly the problems associated with spending hours in the same seated position. A comfortable workstation helps, although it doesn’t replace regular physical activity.
Many producers struggle to find time to exercise consistently.
A studio session can expand from an hour of writing music into an entire afternoon of editing, mixing, and responding to emails, and traveling to a gym adds another commitment that’s easy to postpone.
Having an exercise system in the same home changes that calculation. A producer could finish a focused session, train, and return to the studio afterward without reorganizing the entire day.
AEKE S1 Pro Fits Into Smaller Home Studio Setups
The S1 Pro’s most relevant feature for home studio owners is its foldable design. When stored, it measures approximately 28.1 inches wide, 16.7 inches deep, and 72.8 inches tall, occupying around 0.3 square meters of floor space. That means it could fit in a spare room, office, or suitably sized area near a production studio without requiring permanent space for a traditional power rack and weight plates.
There is an important distinction between its storage footprint and the space required to use it.
AEKE recommends a training area of approximately 63 by 71 inches, with a ceiling height of at least 86.6 inches. The machine also weighs about 243 pounds, so treat it as substantial equipment that needs a stable, well-positioned location rather than something you’d casually move between rooms. For producers working in bedrooms or compact apartments, those measurements are worth checking before assuming the system will fit.
The equipment itself supports 185 training angles and up to 220 pounds of total digital resistance, with approximately 110 pounds available through each arm. AEKE uses electronically controlled motors rather than physical weight stacks, allowing resistance to be adjusted in small increments and used for different exercise types. This includes upper-body movements, rows, squats, and other strength exercises, making the machine an option for someone who wants a reasonably complete workout without collecting several separate pieces of equipment.

AEKE S1 Pro Black Friday Pricing and Availability
AEKE’s announced Black Friday promotion begins November 19, 2026, and continues through January 11, 2027. The standalone S1 Pro is advertised at $3,599, reduced from $4,599 through AEKE’s website, while the S1 Pro with the B3S folding bench is advertised at $3,799, reduced from $4,999. Amazon offers are also planned for the same promotional period, although the stated regular prices differ between the two retailers.
The company provides a two-year warranty, a 30-day home trial, and free shipping through its official website. Customers should check the final price and delivery terms when the promotion begins, especially since AEKE’s currently displayed storefront prices don’t fully match the figures in the advance announcement.
We’ve previously discussed the relationship between exercise and studio work in our coverage of RitFit’s home gym equipment, and the same consideration applies here. Producers invest a considerable amount of money in equipment intended to improve the quality of their music, but maintaining physical fitness and allowing time away from the computer can contribute to a healthier routine. AEKE’s S1 Pro offers one way to make that routine easier to maintain at home, particularly when space is limited and the recording studio is only a few steps away.
