Loopmasters has rolled out a major Loopcloud update, and it is the first big announcement since founder Matt Pelling reacquired the company in October 2025.
The update touches three different parts of the Loopcloud ecosystem: education, search, and instruments. Every Loopcloud subscriber now gets access to the full Producertech course library for free, the Jamahook AI search engine has been upgraded to Version 2, and the Drum and Play plugins have returned with their largest refresh in years.
That is a pretty practical combination for producers because it does not just add more content to the platform. It adds training on how to use production tools better, improves the way producers find compatible sounds, and brings Loopcloud’s own instruments back into a more modern workflow.
All The Big Stuff
- Every Loopcloud subscriber now gets the full Producertech course library at no extra cost, including tutorials, project files, presets, bonus samples, and written notes.
- Jamahook V2 is now live inside Loopcloud Desktop, with improved AI matching that can hear when chords change inside a loop.
- Drum and Play have received their biggest update in years, adding Apple Silicon support, VST, VST3, AU compatibility, workflow improvements, and free expansion packs.
Loopmasters CEO Matt Pelling described the update as the company’s first announcement since he resumed control of Loopmasters, pointing to free Producertech courses, smarter AI search, and updated Drum and Play support as features producers had been asking for.

Why does free Producertech access matter for Loopcloud users?
Loopcloud subscribers now get the full Producertech course library at no extra cost, which gives the subscription a much broader educational angle.
Producertech’s catalog includes tutorials from certified trainers and working artists, with courses covering genre-focused production, DAW workflows, and technique-based learning. The courses stream around the clock and include downloadable extras such as DAW project files, instrument presets, bonus samples, and written notes.
That last part matters because a lot of producers do not only need more sounds. They need better context for how to use the sounds they already have. A sample library can give you raw material, but a course can show you why one rhythm works, how a bassline supports the groove, or how to turn a loop into a finished arrangement.
Access is available by registering through Producertech with the same email address connected to a Loopcloud subscription.

What is different about Jamahook V2?
Jamahook V2 is now live inside the Loopcloud Desktop app for Mac and Windows, and the biggest change is how it handles harmonic movement.
The older version treated harmonic content more like a static fingerprint. V2 listens to when chords happen and where they sit inside the loop, which should make a real difference when producers are searching for a sample that works with an existing progression rather than a single sustained chord.
That is one of those workflow updates that sounds technical but solves a very common studio problem. You can find plenty of loops that are technically in key, but that does not mean the chord movement will line up with your track. If the search engine understands the timing of those changes, the results should be much more usable from the start.
To use it, producers can right-click any loop sample and open the AI search submenu for harmonic and rhythmic matching.

Why bring Drum and Play back now?
Drum and Play have also been updated with native Apple Silicon support and VST, VST3, and AU compatibility across major operating systems.
The update includes improvements to preset saving, effects controls, MIDI export, and the user interface, which should make the plugins feel more current inside modern sessions. Loopmasters is also giving away eight expansion packs over the coming month, all built specifically for Drum and Play.
That gives the update a better reason to exist than compatibility alone. Drum and Play are not just being kept alive. They are being folded back into the broader Loopcloud workflow, with free content to encourage producers to actually open them again.
Loopcloud offers a free 14-day trial for new users, while Producertech access, Jamahook V2, and the Drum and Play updates are live now for current subscribers.
