RANE has announced the release of SYSTEM ONE, a standalone DJ system that combines motorized platter control with onboard Engine DJ software. Designed for open-format DJs, SYSTEM ONE removes the need for a laptop while retaining the tactile response traditionally associated with motor-driven decks.
As the first RANE product to feature Engine DJ internally, SYSTEM ONE allows DJs to mix across multiple media sources at the same time, including USB drives, SD cards, internal storage, streaming services, and computer-based DJ software. This flexibility is built around RANE’s OmniSource architecture, which enables seamless transitions between sources without interrupting playback.

At the center of the unit is a high-definition vertical touchscreen displaying RGB waveforms, performance controls, and library navigation. The interface is paired with 7.2-inch aluminum motorized platters that preserve the familiar resistance and response expected in professional DJ environments, offering a bridge between traditional turntable workflows and modern standalone performance.

Performance Flexibility and Integrated Creative Tools
SYSTEM ONE places a strong emphasis on real-time performance tools, with native support for Stems control built directly into the hardware. Dedicated buttons enable instant access to acapella and instrumental elements, while pad modes and Stem Level EQ provide hands-on control for live edits and remixing. Tracks can be pre-rendered using Engine DJ desktop software, with onboard Stems rendering planned via a future update.

The effects workflow includes more than 25 internal Main FX, along with Sweep FX, Touch FX, and Fader FX, all accessible without leaving the hardware. DJs can also integrate effects from supported DJ software when connected, expanding the available processing options without changing their physical workflow.
Connectivity is designed to support a wide range of performance environments. SYSTEM ONE includes balanced and unbalanced main outputs, booth outputs with dedicated EQ, Bluetooth audio output, and multiple microphone inputs with onboard processing. Built-in Wi-Fi enables direct access to supported streaming platforms, while playlist banks provide quick recall of saved media across sources.

By combining motorized platters, standalone Engine DJ performance, and a deep set of creative tools, SYSTEM ONE positions itself as a flexible centerpiece for open-format DJs who want physical control, modern media access, and a laptop-free setup without compromise.
