DIESEL and Virtual Riot have combined their distinct styles for their latest release, “Damage,” a genre-blending powerhouse set to shake up the bass music scene. The track, released via Monstercat Uncaged, delivers an intense mix of aggressive bass drops, sharp drum & bass rhythms, and Shaquille O’Neal’s signature vocal hype.
The collaboration kicks off with a moody acoustic guitar intro, quickly escalating into a trap-infused buildup. DIESEL’s deep, commanding voice drives the energy higher before the track plunges into a massive drum & bass drop. The seamless fusion of these styles showcases both artists’ ability to push sonic boundaries while delivering festival-ready energy.
Timed perfectly with Shaq’s Fun House, an over-the-top party happening during Super Bowl weekend in New Orleans, “Damage” arrives as the perfect soundtrack for an event stacked with performances from John Summit, Ludacris, and DIESEL himself. The annual event is known for blending music, carnival attractions, and larger-than-life entertainment, drawing thousands of attendees each year.
Virtual Riot, a leading name in bass music and the creative force behind Stealing Fire, continues to prove his versatility with this unexpected collaboration. His intricate production work has made him a staple in the electronic scene, and his upcoming headline show at The Shrine in Los Angeles is set to reinforce his reputation as an innovator.
With “Damage,” the duo has crafted a relentless, high-energy track that stands out among the latest bass music releases. As both artists continue to push their creative limits, this collaboration marks an exciting moment for fans of hard-hitting electronic music.

Raised in upstate New York, I was always a big fan of music but never really listened to electronic music. Within the first month of attending Florida State University and meeting some new friends, I was introduced to the rave scene. After seeing Ekali at my first show, I was instantly hooked. Since then, I have dived into every subgenre of electronic music, picked up DJing, and mixed for clubs and different entertainment events in Tallahassee. Once graduating with degrees in marketing and hospitality, I was hired for a sales position. However, I recently decided to leave my sales job to pursue my dream of working in the music industry. Currently, I run Magnetic Magazine's Melodic Techno Charts, along with my role as a PR and marketing specialist for different artists and labels. Some of my favorite artists are REZZ, Kyle Watson, TOBEHONEST, San Pacho, Josh Baker, HUGEL, ARTBAT, Vintage Culture, Ganja White Night, CamelPhat, Green Velvet, Jungle, Milky Chance, Paco Versailles, Franc Moody, and RÜFUS DU SOL. My favorite festivals are Hulaween (by far), EDC Orlando, and all the different venues during Miami Music Week. Outside of music, I love sports (especially hockey, soccer, tennis, basketball, and spike ball), going to the movies, working out, sushi, Chick-fil-A, food in general, and hanging with my dog Maui and my cat Loki. Feel free to reach out to me via my email or on IG, I love expanding my network of friends and business opportunities!
