From the rolling and beautiful landscapes of Geneva, Switzerland, to the rhythmic streets of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Simon Vuarambon is a young producer making waves in underground electronic music. His music is best described as smooth, deep, and mesmerizing, with a vibrant nature that captures the soul of every listener, but even that description doesn’t do it justice. And with so much going right for this upstart producer, there is no better time than now to dive deep into what makes the budding career of such a talented South American producer tick.
Because the trajectory of Simon’s sound is far from “modern” by today’s standards, therein lies the magic. Putting quality over quantity, he doesn’t rely on algorithms or release calendars packed with rushed-out singles to make his wave in today’s scene.
Yet he’s still racking up support from some of the biggest names in the industry. Esteemed DJs like Lee Burridge, Guy J, John Digweed, Audiofly, and Gorje Hewek & Izhevski have admired this young talent and are testiments to his work. As part of the ‘All Day I Dream’ team, Vuarambon is solidifying his place on the global stage.
“When I started my journey into djing and producing, I remember playing tracks from Sébastien Léger like Majuro, Marina, Jaguar. And so many more…
He always had a unique sound and inspired so many of us. More than ten years later, I received this beautiful message from Sebastien saying he loved my track Lazos, so we kept in touch since then, and I started working on this EP that is about to get released on his label Lost Miracle.” – Simon Vuarambon

An Artistic Journey

For Simon, music has always been a profoundly personal journey. Childhood memories of his father introducing him to various genres, ranging from the rock of Led Zeppelin and Supertramp to the soulful vibes of James Brown, laid the foundation. His mother added to this rich musical tapestry, immersing him in the classical compositions of Schumann, Mendelssohn, and Ravel.
Vuarambon’s transition to electronic music was a natural evolution. Living in a small town and playing the guitar at a young age, he found it challenging to connect with like-minded peers. So, he began to explore music production on his own. Electronic music became the perfect avenue for this exploration due to its individualistic nature.
From Passion to Profession
Nestled in the heart of La Pampa, Argentina, the town of Santa Rosa boasts a vibrant nightlife. Simon had an epiphany in the dimly lit ambiance of the ‘Sky’ club. The rich beats, each note cascading and reverberating around the intimate space, were mesmerizing. But what truly captivated him was watching a DJ take command of that energy, melding it and molding it to captivate an audience. The allure was irresistible.
Simon could feel the pull of the electronic beats, the dance of lights, and the synergy of the crowd. The calling was unmistakable. It wasn’t just about playing music; it was about creating an experience, a journey for everyone in the room. Driven by this newfound passion, he delved deep into the world of DJing, dedicating hours to honing his craft. His commitment and talent did not go unnoticed. Soon, he found himself on the other side, not as a spectator, but as the maestro at ‘Sky,’ marking the genesis of his professional odyssey.

Venturing into production, Simon Vuarambon’s musical inspirations were vast and varied. Within the pulsating world of the electronic club scene, he revered stalwarts like Lee Burridge, Guy J, Rodriguez Jr., and Frankey & Sandrino. Their tracks, filled with layers and nuances, served as inspiration and benchmark. But Simon’s tastes were not confined to the world of electronica. With its soulful melodies and intricate improvisations, jazz held a special place in his heart. Giants of the genre, such as Keith Jarrett and Brad Mehldau, profoundly influenced him. The freedom and spontaneity of jazz, its emphasis on improvisation, resonated with him. This was a world where the planned and the spontaneous danced together, and Simon found that fusion was deeply compelling.

Staying Authentic
While many artists today prioritize visibility on social media, Vuarambon prefers to let his music do the talking. This doesn’t mean he shuns social media; he understands its importance. But for Simon, the primary focus remains on creating authentic music that resonates with listeners, and he’s already reaping the benefits of this approach to getting his most important and influential qualities out to his ever-growing fanbase and communities.
While he hasn’t had a TikTok go viral or a song land on massive editorial playlists that could have potentially catapulted him into the global spotlight, his dedication to the music and the passion that he pours into every song has attracted the attention of larger and larger DJs; which have garnered him accolades and support from some of the biggest names in the industry. This strategy might seem old school or passe to the newer generations of music producers. Still, it’s the best and only tried and proper way to build a lasting career in today’s industry, and as Simon sits on the verge of stardom, everything in his career up to this point could not have been more well-earned.
His creative process is versatile. Sometimes, it begins with a piano improvisation; other times, it’s driven by percussions and drums. No matter the starting point, the goal is to create music embodying genuine emotion and artistic expression.
A Bright Future Ahead

As electronic music burgeons, few names have risen with such prominence and dynamism as Simon Vuarambon. His signature releases, notably “Lazos,” the ethereal “Morgana/Toscana/Kaskazi EP,” and his synergy with Lost Desert in “Earth Before Humans,” echo his profound artistry and relentless pursuit of musical excellence.
For the connoisseurs of live music, the itinerary of Vuarambon’s grand international tour promises an electrifying journey. Each destination promises an auditory feast from the pulsating beats of Toronto’s Evergreen Brick Works alongside giants like Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren to the sultry nights in Ibiza with Lee Burridge at All Day I Dream. Not to mention his electrifying appearances across iconic venues such as Newspeak (Montreal), Zero Golden Boat & Paradise Club (New York), Members (Los Angeles), and the illustrious Palacio Alsina (Buenos Aires) — to name just a few.
When I got the invitation from Hernan Cattaneo this year to open one of his shows in Argentina at the mythic Forja in Cordoba, I started producing and working on new music for that particular show immediately. Hernan was a great inspiration when I started and he’s been so supportive since the early days, so I was very honored to be part of that show. The video recording will soon be released on YouTube” – S.V.
The accolades he has amassed are telling. Being spotlighted as the favorite Argentinian artist by industry legends Lee Burridge & Hernan Cattaneo on reputed platforms like DJ Mag and Electronic Groove is a testament to his prowess. Moreover, the distinction of being the sole artist to collaborate on Lee Burridge’s debut studio album, “Melt,” alongside Lost Desert, where they birthed the track ‘One’, speaks volumes. His path, “Alcyon,” doesn’t just add to his repertoire; it is one of the crown jewels of the All Day I Dream discography.
As Vuarambon traverses the global stage, his philosophy remains unwavering. In his words, he endeavors “to make the music speak for itself.” And as international audiences synchronize their heartbeats to his harmonies, it’s unambiguously clear — Vuarambon’s music isn’t just speaking; it’s roaring.
