The Disco Express has reached its 125th catalog release, and the London-based label is marking the occasion with Best Of 2026, a six-track compilation collecting music from some of its most closely associated producers. Released October 23 on digital formats and limited-edition pink vinyl, the record features Make It Disco, Bustin’ Loose, MGR Mike, Ayce & Spirit of House, LEFTI, and La Felix.

It’s a focused selection that brings together the label’s interests in disco, funk, vocal house, and contemporary club production.

The compilation also arrives during Amsterdam Dance Event, where The Disco Express is preparing to host another installment of its Club Train party on October 24. That relationship between recorded music and live events has been an established part of the label’s activities for years. The Disco Express operates as a record label and an international events organization, with parties extending from its London origins into cities including Paris, Amsterdam, New York, and Mexico City.

For a label with an established catalog and an active international events schedule, an annual compilation provides an opportunity to revisit music that has already circulated among DJs while introducing those records to listeners who might have missed their original releases.

The interesting decision with Best Of 2026 is its relatively limited track selection. Rather than assembling an extensive digital collection, The Disco Express has selected six records and committed them to a physical format intended for DJs and collectors.

How The Disco Express Has Developed Its Label Identity

The Disco Express was established in London in 2017 and has developed its reputation around a particular interpretation of disco and house music. Its releases generally draw from the instrumental and vocal traditions associated with 1970s disco, while incorporating production methods and rhythmic arrangements familiar to contemporary house DJs.

Founder Bustin’ Loose has been central to that development, working as a producer, DJ, and curator while building relationships with musicians connected to the label’s international events.

Back in 2024, our interview with Bustin’ Loose about The Disco Express examined how the label had expanded from its London beginnings into an international series of releases and parties. At the time, he was preparing Best Of 2024, another limited vinyl compilation that brought together artists including Art of Tones, Doche, Sam Karlson, Magnolia, and Moodena.

That earlier compilation was pressed on purple vinyl, establishing a recognizable presentation for the label’s annual collections. The 2026 edition continues the approach with pink vinyl and a selection of material from the current catalog.

What makes this approach interesting from a label-management perspective is that these compilations give existing recordings another release opportunity. A single might receive attention during its initial promotional period, appear in DJ sets, and subsequently become less visible as additional releases enter the catalog. Bringing selected tracks together on vinyl provides another opportunity for listeners to discover them.

The format also gives The Disco Express a physical product connected to its events, where many of the artists appearing on its releases regularly perform.

Why The Disco Express Continues Releasing Limited Vinyl

Best Of 2026 is pressed on limited-edition pink 12-inch vinyl, with 300 copies available. The physical version is priced at £17 through Bandcamp, while the digital album is available for £7.

For The Disco Express, the physical format has been a recurring part of its release schedule rather than an occasional collector’s edition.

Earlier this year, the label released XPRESS Singles Vol. 2, another limited vinyl package featuring Dirty Supercar, Angelo Ferreri, Bustin’ Loose, and La Felix. As we discussed in our feature on that release, the collection paired original recordings with remixes that gave DJs different versions of established label material.

Best Of 2026 applies a related idea to previously released music. Instead of introducing a collection of new remixes, it makes selected records from the year’s catalog available together as a six-track vinyl compilation.

The vinyl edition offers a physical version for collectors and turntable DJs, while the digital release ensures the recordings remain accessible to producers, listeners, and DJs who work entirely with software.

The Disco Express Returns to ADE With Club Train

The compilation arrives immediately before The Disco Express returns to Amsterdam Dance Event for its Club Train party on Saturday, October 24.

Hosted aboard the 50 Club Train, the event will take place on a moving train departing from Amsterdam Central Station. The nighttime program begins at 11:59 p.m. and runs until 4 a.m., with three stages featuring disco, funk, soul, and house music.

The announced lineup includes Barbara Tucker, Block & Crown, Bustin’ Loose, Crystal Touch, DJ Q, Georgie Porgie, Marcel Vogel, Monsieur Van Pratt, Sam Karlson, Stacy Kidd, and other performers associated with the wider disco and house scene.

The event directly connects the label’s recorded output with its event programming.

Bustin’ Loose appears on the new compilation and performs at Club Train, while several other artists on the event’s lineup have established relationships with The Disco Express catalog.

That relationship was discussed in our earlier feature on Residents Special, Vol. 1, another compilation curated by Bustin’ Loose. That project brought together musicians from cities including London, New York, Paris, Amsterdam, Mexico City, and Oslo, with the selection reflecting collaborations and relationships developed during the label’s international activities.

With XPRESS125, The Disco Express continues a release format it has developed over several years, combining an annual compilation with limited physical manufacturing and an established international events program.

Best Of 2026 is available now on Bandcamp, with the 12-inch pink vinyl edition limited to 300 copies. The digital release is also available through participating music stores, while information about the October 24 Club Train event can be found on the official Amsterdam Dance Event website.
