Putting Tiësto at the top of a trance lineup means something different in 2026 than it would have twenty years ago, and Dreamstate Vancouver clearly understands the tension built into that booking.

Tiësto will make his Dreamstate Vancouver debut on Saturday, November 28, with the appearance billed specifically as a trance set. It follows his performance at Dreamstate SoCal in 2025, where he returned to the genre that first established his name internationally and gave longtime listeners a rare chance to hear that side of his catalog in a festival setting again.

That single detail gives Dreamstate Vancouver’s third edition its central idea. This is a compact, one-stage event built around trance across different eras, placing Tiësto alongside Aaron Hibell, Dash Berlin and Darude before working toward a younger group of artists represented by Benwal, Matty Ralph and Modeā.

Dreamstate is Insomniac’s dedicated trance brand, and putting Tiësto into that setting gives the booking a sense of occasion that would be difficult to recreate on a general dance music lineup. His Dreamstate SoCal set showed that the interest extends well beyond simple nostalgia, especially among listeners who know his early records and newer fans who rarely see that material represented in his current festival appearances.

The Vancouver date now gives Canadian fans their own version of that experience. No set times have been announced, so the length and placement of Tiësto’s performance remain unknown, though his headline position puts the trance set at the center of the event.

Dreamstate Vancouver Keeps Its Lineup Focused

Dreamstate Vancouver will feature one stage at TradeX, removing the scheduling conflicts that come with larger multi-stage festivals and keeping all seven announced artists in the same room.

Aaron Hibell joins the lineup as one of its most current names. The English producer and composer has built his profile around cinematic electronic music, trance influences and emotionally heavy arrangements, giving Dreamstate an artist whose work connects the genre’s melodic history with its newer audience.

Dash Berlin brings a long record within vocal and festival trance, while Darude adds another artist whose catalog reaches listeners far outside dedicated dance music circles. Dutch artist Benwal and Irish selector Matty Ralph represent a faster contemporary reading of the genre, with Modeā bringing an uplifting electronic sound to the event.

It is a relatively short artist list for a festival carrying the Dreamstate name, though the one-stage setup makes that restraint feel deliberate. Every artist contributes to the same musical arc, and attendees will not have to choose between overlapping performances once the final timetable is released.

In my festival coverage, expansion often means additional stages or increasingly crowded lineups. Dreamstate Vancouver is growing by moving into TradeX, and its single-stage format remains. That allows the November edition to welcome a larger crowd without changing the concentrated trance programming that sold out its March event.

Why Dreamstate Vancouver Is Moving to TradeX

The November event follows Dreamstate Vancouver’s sold-out March 2026 edition and marks the third installment of the Canadian series.

TradeX offers a larger setting in Abbotsford, giving Insomniac room to increase attendance while retaining the one-stage format. Anyone planning travel should note that the venue is located in Abbotsford rather than Downtown Vancouver, so transportation and accommodation will need to be planned around the Fraser Valley.

The move suggests that the March event gave Dreamstate enough evidence to expand capacity without padding the lineup for the sake of scale. Seven artists can still carry a full event when each booking serves a clear purpose, particularly when the headliner brings a performance that is rarely offered elsewhere.
