Miami’s nightlife landscape is getting a new open-air destination with the arrival of AIRE, a music-forward nightclub and lounge opening September 23 in Edgewater.

Taking over the longtime home of Boho Miami at 111 NE 20th Street, AIRE represents a reset for an address that spent six years as a familiar part of the neighborhood’s late-night circuit. Rather than completely rebuilding what came before it, the new concept preserves the intimate outdoor environment while shifting the identity toward DJ culture and a more deliberately curated electronic music program.

Owner Jorge Moreno is leading the project alongside a team that includes Louis Puig, the founder of Club Space, as well as Aramis Lorie, Travis Rogers, and John Fortini. Collectively, the group brings experience spanning nightclub operations, booking, programming, and management within Miami’s nightlife ecosystem.

The venue itself has been refreshed with a new bar, repositioned DJ booth, updated menu, and redesigned visual elements. But the more significant change is philosophical: AIRE is being positioned first and foremost around what is happening behind the decks.

Programming Built Around the Booth

Deep, rhythmic, and soulful house will anchor the venue’s musical direction, with both resident selectors and visiting artists rotating through the calendar. Instead of relying on a fixed identity night after night, AIRE is designed to shift according to the artist, promoter, and crowd occupying the space.

That approach will be introduced across its opening weekend. A public preview featuring local talent launches the venue this Wednesday, followed by latin tech and tech house on Thursday, and Canadian producer Gab Rhome on Friday. British house veteran Steve Lawler closes the weekend on Saturday with his Pendulum party.

AIRE will operate Wednesday through Saturday for guests 21 and older. Wednesdays are expected to feature collaborations with Miami collectives including Pitch Park and Afrotek, while Thursdays will introduce a weekly Ladies’ Night with complimentary drinks for women until midnight. Fridays and Saturdays will focus on rotating promoters and established DJ talent.

This transition also reflects a wider change in how the team views the space. Moreno has acknowledged that Boho’s aesthetic had become increasingly common throughout hospitality, making the rebrand an opportunity to move away from a visual concept that had run its course without abandoning the outdoor character that helped define the address.

With Puig involved and a programming strategy centered firmly on house and electronic music, AIRE enters a crowded Miami nightlife market with a relatively clear proposition: an intimate open-air room where the DJ booth, rather than the décor surrounding it, determines the direction of the night.

Tickets and upcoming event information are available through the AIRE’s official website.

Raised in upstate New York, I was always a big fan of music but never really listened to electronic music. Within the first month of attending Florida State University and meeting some new friends, I was introduced to the rave scene. After seeing Ekali at my first show, I was instantly hooked. Since then, I have dived into every subgenre of electronic music, picked up DJing, and mixed for clubs and different entertainment events in Tallahassee. Once graduating with degrees in marketing and hospitality, I was hired for a sales position. However, I recently decided to leave my sales job to pursue my dream of working in the music industry. Currently, I run Magnetic Magazine's Melodic Techno Charts, along with my role as a PR and marketing specialist for different artists and labels. Some of my favorite artists are REZZ, Kyle Watson, TOBEHONEST, San Pacho, Josh Baker, HUGEL, ARTBAT, Vintage Culture, Ganja White Night, CamelPhat, Green Velvet, Jungle, Milky Chance, Paco Versailles, Franc Moody, and RÜFUS DU SOL. My favorite festivals are Hulaween (by far), EDC Orlando, and all the different venues during Miami Music Week. Outside of music, I love sports (especially hockey, soccer, tennis, basketball, and spike ball), going to the movies, working out, sushi, Chick-fil-A, food in general, and hanging with my dog Maui and my cat Loki. Feel free to reach out to me via my email or on IG, I love expanding my network of friends and business opportunities!
