SoDown is taking his next Mission Ballroom headline far beyond the traditional DJ set.

The Colorado-based producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist will return to the Denver venue on February 13, 2027, for “The SoDown Picture Show,” a fully conceptualized performance built around the intersection of cinema, bass music, and live instrumentation.

At the center of the show is a soundtrack inspired by some of film’s most recognizable musical moments. SoDown plans to reinterpret music connected to Jaws, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and more, transforming familiar themes through his signature combination of heavy bass, funk, soul, and saxophone.

Custom visuals will extend that cinematic concept throughout the performance, with each section designed to move through different eras, moods, and styles of film. The production will also incorporate a full marching band performing alongside SoDown, expanding the live musicianship that has long been central to his identity.

Building a Bigger World Around SoDown

“The SoDown Picture Show represents my vision for my upcoming album and the next phase of the SoDown project,” SoDown explains. “It’s about creating a bigger, more immersive world around the music, bringing together live instrumentation, cinematic moments, unique production, and unexpected twists in a way we have never done before. Everything from the visuals and stage design to the music itself is being built around that experience. We are even working with a marching band. I cannot reveal too much about that yet, but there are a ton of surprises I can’t wait to announce.”

The performance will mark SoDown’s return to Mission Ballroom following his 2025 headline at the venue, a night he later described as the best of his life. This time, he is returning with a concept that reflects a broader creative evolution.

The announcement follows a prolific 2026 that has included more than 30 headline shows, continued growth of his fan-driven GetDown activations, and more than one million SoundCloud streams across his “On The Air” flip series.

With “The SoDown Picture Show,” SoDown is using one of Denver’s premier electronic music stages to introduce the next phase of his project, treating Mission Ballroom not simply as a venue, but as the setting for an entirely new creative world.

Fans can register now for pre-sale access to “The SoDown Picture Show” via this post, with pre-sale tickets available beginning this Wednesday, August 19 at 10:00 AM MST. General ticket sales open this Friday, August 21 at 10:00 AM MST.

Raised in upstate New York, I was always a big fan of music but never really listened to electronic music. Within the first month of attending Florida State University and meeting some new friends, I was introduced to the rave scene. After seeing Ekali at my first show, I was instantly hooked. Since then, I have dived into every subgenre of electronic music, picked up DJing, and mixed for clubs and different entertainment events in Tallahassee. Once graduating with degrees in marketing and hospitality, I was hired for a sales position. However, I recently decided to leave my sales job to pursue my dream of working in the music industry. Currently, I run Magnetic Magazine's Melodic Techno Charts, along with my role as a PR and marketing specialist for different artists and labels. Some of my favorite artists are REZZ, Kyle Watson, TOBEHONEST, San Pacho, Josh Baker, HUGEL, ARTBAT, Vintage Culture, Ganja White Night, CamelPhat, Green Velvet, Jungle, Milky Chance, Paco Versailles, Franc Moody, and RÜFUS DU SOL. My favorite festivals are Hulaween (by far), EDC Orlando, and all the different venues during Miami Music Week. Outside of music, I love sports (especially hockey, soccer, tennis, basketball, and spike ball), going to the movies, working out, sushi, Chick-fil-A, food in general, and hanging with my dog Maui and my cat Loki. Feel free to reach out to me via my email or on IG, I love expanding my network of friends and business opportunities!
