Hi Aurory! How are you feeling today?
I’m feeling great today, thank you for having me. It’s a pleasure to be part of this interview.
Let’s start at the beginning. Can you tell us about your relationship with music and what first drew you into electronic music?
My relationship with music started when I was very young. My grandparents used to play a lot of classical music whenever I visited them, and that’s probably where my first connection with music began.
The moment I truly fell in love with electronic music came later. I was visiting a close friend in Rome whose older brother owned a nightclub and was deeply involved in the techno scene. Listening to those sounds for the first time completely fascinated me. From that moment, I became curious about that world and started exploring electronic music more deeply.
What does it mean to you to be able to reach people through your music?
For me, it means creating a connection with people through something universal. Music allows you to reach listeners you may never meet in person—people from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds.
That’s the real power of music: with a single sound, melody, or emotion, you can inspire someone’s imagination, evoke memories, or offer a different perspective. Knowing that your music can travel across the world and resonate with people you’ve never met is something truly special.
When you’re performing, what does genuine crowd interaction look and feel like from behind the decks?
When you’re behind the decks, you can see and feel so many different emotions. Some people are dancing energetically, others are simply enjoying the atmosphere, and some are sharing the experience with friends.
What I love most is seeing such a diverse group of people come together with a common purpose: to enjoy the moment. No matter where they come from or who they are, the dancefloor creates a unique sense of unity. That’s when you realize that music has the power to bring everyone onto the same wavelength.
Social media has become an important part of an artist’s career. How do you plan to use your platforms to build a genuine sense of community around your project?
Social media has become an essential part of an artist’s journey, but I believe it should be used authentically. It gives people the opportunity to see the side of an artist that isn’t visible on stage—the creative process, the challenges, and the daily life behind the music.
At the same time, social platforms are an incredible tool for discovering new listeners, connecting with labels, and building relationships within the industry. During COVID, livestreams played a huge role in keeping electronic music alive and maintaining a connection with audiences. Even today, they remain a powerful way to stay connected with people who can’t physically attend an event.
How do you balance staying true to your own sound while creating music that can resonate with a broader audience?
Right now, I’m in a phase of evolution as an artist. I’m allowing myself the freedom to experiment and explore different directions in order to discover what truly defines my sound.
Of course, listeners often develop expectations based on your previous work, but I think growth comes from challenging those expectations. My goal is to surprise people with something fresh while continuing to evolve creatively and stay authentic to myself.
As you continue expanding your network, are there any artists you’d particularly like to collaborate or build a creative relationship with?
One of the things I’m most grateful for is having the opportunity to organize events through my project, Lucentia. These events allow me to meet and work with incredibly talented artists, not only from a professional perspective but also on a personal level.
There are many artists I admire and would love to collaborate with in the future. Rather than naming specific individuals, I’d say that I’m focused on building genuine relationships with people who share a similar vision. Those connections are already helping me grow Lucentia as both a label and an event platform, and I believe they will continue to create valuable opportunities in the long term.
Hot Take #1: The Melodic House & Techno scene doesn’t need more tracks—it needs more identity. Technical quality has never been higher, but truly recognizable artists are becoming harder to find.
Hot Take #2: A powerful track isn’t defined by how many plugins you use or how perfect the mix is. What matters is whether people still remember the feeling it created after they leave the dancefloor.
