Disco was born in queer clubs and was welcomed by the masses because of the love, joy, and inclusivity that Disco and Funk music provide. Duran Duran – Free to Love feat. Nile Rodgers (DJWS & THE DISCO_NECT Remix) [Tape Modern]

Duran Duran has always been a band that celebrates diversity and inclusivity, so the targeted release of “Free To Love” in May certainly wasn’t an accident. June brought a remix package with a hugely diverse group of producers putting their touch on the track. The DJWS & THE DISCO_NECT Remix has the most Disco-forward feel of these mixes, with amped-up synths and a plucky rhythmic undercurrent that will propel you directly to the dancefloor!

Disco Bambino, Nile Rodgers, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor – Dancing Without You [Helix Records]

When you blend the Italo Disco style of Disco Bambino, the classic guitar work of Nile Rodgers, and the made-for-disco vocals of Sophie Ellis-Bextor, you get “Dancing Without You”. This track is all about resilience after sadness, and who doesn’t know the feeling of dancing out the blues?

Jéroboam – Light Up [Favorite Recordings]

Jéroboam is a Parisian funk band that is only three years old, but they’ve made a major impact in the Funk/Soul scene! Eleven members strong, this band is committed to bringing the live element back to the studio. “Light Up” is a fierce piece of Funk that represents the rest of their new LP incredibly well.

MGR Mike – The Movers [The Disco Express]

We are the dance people! MGR Mike has his finger on the pulse of the Disco/House movement, and what better label to release this hot track on than The Disco Express!? The piano and strings mesh seamlessly, while the vocals encourage you to let go of the day and get your ass on the dancefloor. What could be better than that?

Mark Lower – Eyes Across The Room feat. Derrick McKenzie & Sarina Voorn [Groove Culture]

Mark Lower and Derrick McKenzie joined forces to work on a new LP about a year ago, and the first track to emerge from those sessions is “Eyes Across The Room”. Sarina Voorn was sent the track to add her sublime vocals to, Charles Delecluse added the guitars, Matt Johnson added the keys, and the unmistakable Derrick McKenzie added his signature drum style. I hope this track is just a preview of what is to come from this collaboration!

Da Lukas – Discomeraviglia feat. Di Martino (Scruscru Remix) [The Disco Express]

The Disco Express never disappoints with the remix compilations, and the latest volume is a doozy, including the outstanding remix by Scruscru of Da Lukas‘ “Discomeraviglia”. The Disco energy is high on this remix with plenty of pings, pews, organ, strings, and chuggin’ bass to drive you to dance!

Arpy Brown & Kapote – The Phunk Biz (Extended Version) [Toy Tonics]

When Arpy Brown and Kapote decided to record their new album, Memento Ludi (Latin for “Remember to Play”), they wanted tracks that sounded as if they had been recorded in 1978 and reimagined in 2026. The results are eight songs that bring the funk and groove that only live instrumental production can create. “The Phunk Biz” opens the LP and sets the tone for the entire project.

Coco & Breezy feat. Gavin Turek – Tonight [Moodswing Music]

Coco & Breezy have been making their name as DJs and producers in the dance music community for the last decade, in addition to making killer sunglasses! These twin artists hit the jackpot when they partnered with Producer/DJ/Vocalist ‘Diva of the People’ Gavin Turek on their latest track, “Tonight”. This track has a bouncy House/Nu-Disco swing that is perfect for summer and all that it may bring!

Tonique & Man – Your Lovin’ [Tonique Records]

Four years into their partnership as Tonique & Man, Jean Tonique and Mi Man sound like a well-oiled, Nu-Disco machine! “Your Lovin'” is the second teaser track from their upcoming LP, and its poolside gloss and understated production keep the analog, live-band feel intact. This song demands to be played on a yacht somewhere, stat!

Poolside – Bedroom Eyes feat. Stevie Appleton [Counter Records]

Poolside (Jeffrey Paradise) is in a new post-fire era of his career. Tragedy sparked a creative reset, and the music he has been producing has a reinvigorated sound. Stevie Appleton provides the soaring, crystal-clear vocals on “Bedroom Eyes”, a tale of longing and desire, disguised in a groove.

Even Funkier – Let’s Dance Together [Funkier Sounds]

Even Funkier is no stranger to the Disco scene. Having recently received a diagnosis of neurodivergence, this DJ/producer took a little time away from the business and came blasting back with a new label and an even hotter track, “Let’s Dance together”! The bass line is thumping and in your face, demanding the attention it deserves from the listener, telling you to git up off your seat and onto the dancefloor!

A-P Connection – Hopin’ feat. Princess Freesia [A-P Connection]

In an era where everything can be electronically produced or made with AI, A-P Connection wants you to hear the human element in their music, and the funk is real on their new LP, Keep This Star Burning. One of the standout tracks is “Hopin'”, featuring the silky vocals of Princess Freesia. The track has some early 80s influences driving the synth bass and funky guitars. Do yourself a favor and give the whole album a listen, because just one track is not enough!

Andy Bach – I Know (Club Mix) [Spa In Disco]

Andy Bach is a staple producer in the Disco scene, and “I Know” is an awesome instrumental jam that exemplifies his signature grooves. This time out, Spa In Disco got the release, and label-head Fran Deeper knows a thing or two about what makes a hot Disco track! The vibe is smooth and easy, welcome in a club or while you are chilling poolside. Andy Bach knows Disco.

Crush Club – Girl, Hold Tight (Marsha P) (Club Mix) [Crush Club NYC LLC]

LA-based duo TC Milan and Le Chev, aka Crush Club, have been grabbing some serious attention with their song’s appearances on White Lotus and Your Friends & Neighbors, touring with Sofi Tukker, Purple Disco Machine, and LP Giobbi, and still finding time to write “Girl, Hold Tight (Marsha P) about Trans rights trailblazer Marsha P. Johnson. The club mix of this track is perfect to celebrate Pride and dance the night away to its infectious grooves.

David Bay – Magnetised [Zissou Records]

When David Bay started writing “Magnetised” in January of this year, the song didn’t come together as he had hoped, so he shelved the track on the hard drive. Enter his bandmates from Pool, some creative reworks, and the Daytime Disco version was born. Smooth and unassuming, while still undeniably funky, the track has a groove that will get stuck in your head for some time to come!
