HAAi Details New Album DIGITiSE Ahead of Its October Release

HAAi has spent years moving between club sets, live performances, and album-length electronic music, and DIGITiSE brings these parts of her work into a single focused release. The London-based Australian producer, songwriter, and DJ will issue the 10-track album through Mute on October 9, presenting it as a dancefloor-focused companion to 2025’s HUMANiSE.

The title track is the first piece available from the album. “DIGITiSE” features Pat Alvarez, a long-term collaborator whose credits also include The Blessed Madonna, Jon Hopkins, Rose Gray, and Adiel. HAAi describes the track as the center of the record and a direct reference to the sense of connection she finds in clubs.

DIGITiSE Extends the Club Side of HUMANiSE

The project began as an extension of HUMANiSE, then grew into a separate album as HAAi developed material suitable for her DJ sets. The records remain connected. The choir at the end of HUMANiSE continues into “RE-HUMANiSE,” the opening track on DIGITiSE, providing a clear transition between the two releases.

Her move into full-length work has developed across several projects, including Baby, We’re Ascending and its Jon Hopkins, Moxie, and Alexis Taylor collaborations back in 2022. DIGITiSE pushes that album format toward the club, using the pacing of an extended DJ set as its organizing idea.

Audience Response Became Part of the Production Process

HAAi worked on the album while maintaining an active touring schedule, then placed unfinished material into her sets. Those early plays gave her direct feedback through audience movement and room response. She used that information to adjust breakdowns, tighten grooves, and judge how each track worked at club volume.

That process is useful because club music can behave differently once it leaves the studio. A section that feels balanced on monitors may hold too long in a room, while a low-frequency idea can change once it reaches a larger system. Testing material during real sets gave HAAi a practical way to edit the album around physical response.

The Collaborators Expand the Album’s Range

DIGITiSE introduces first-time collaborators Echonomist and Skybreak, alongside returning contributors Pat Alvarez, ILA, James Massiah, and Kaiden Ford. Medellín children’s choir Cantoalegre also appears on “Talking Walls,” continuing the choral connection established on HUMANiSE.

The tracklist gives those guests defined roles across the record. “Ignition” features Echonomist and draws from “Go,” a track on HUMANiSE. “I Wanna Feel Like Someone” pairs James Massiah with bass-focused production and Motorik rhythm. “Talking Walls” connects HAAi and Skybreak with Cantoalegre for the album’s closing track.
