Green Velvet and Detlef have joined forces for “Bounce UR Body,” their first collaborative track and their respective debut on Cloonee’s Hellbent Records. Released June 19, the single places two established house producers inside a direct club format that gets to its core idea quickly.

The pairing works because each artist has spent years writing records for busy rooms. Green Velvet brings the vocal presence and stripped-back house approach associated with his catalog, while Detlef contributes the firm drums and forward motion heard across his club releases. “Bounce UR Body” keeps those qualities within a compact arrangement that DJs can place into high-energy sections of a set.

The Vocal Gives the Track Its Identity

“Bounce UR Body” is built around commanding vocal phrases supported by tough drums and a driving groove. The title clearly communicates the function, and the production stays focused on movement rather than loading the arrangement with unnecessary sections.

That directness matters in a crowded DJ set.

A recognizable vocal can give listeners an immediate reference point, while the drums maintain continuity with the surrounding tracks. Green Velvet has used that relationship between voice and rhythm throughout his career, giving his records a clear identity without crowding the mix.

Detlef Keeps the Groove Moving

Detlef’s role comes through in the track’s firm rhythmic construction. His releases have remained common selections in international DJ sets for well over a decade, and “Bounce UR Body” follows that same practical approach.

The clearest use case is a late-night house set where a DJ needs a record that establishes its hook quickly and keeps the room moving. An extended emotional build would work against that purpose. The drums, groove, and vocal carry the arrangement without requiring a long introduction.

The inclusion of a shorter edit also gives radio programmers, playlist editors, and DJs working with tighter set times another usable version.

Hellbent Continues Its Club-First Catalog

The collaboration also gives Hellbent Records another release centered on direct club function. Cloonee’s imprint has added established artists to its catalog while maintaining a recognizable connection to house and tech house.

Hellbent has kept that direction clear through recent releases, including Patrick Topping’s club-focused appearance on the label. Green Velvet and Detlef fit the same programming context, while their combined experience gives “Bounce UR Body” its own place within the catalog.

The appeal is easy to understand. “Bounce UR Body” gives DJs a clear vocal cue, firm rhythmic movement, and an arrangement designed to connect quickly in clubs and at festivals. Green Velvet and Detlef avoid overcomplicating the collaboration. Each producer contributes qualities already established across his catalog, and Hellbent provides an appropriate home for the result. “Bounce UR Body” is available now in its original form and as an edit.
