Some paths do not begin with a decision, but with devotion. When passion is shaped by purpose and carried forward through persistence, it becomes something enduring. What starts as instinct becomes discipline. What feels natural becomes necessary. In time, the familiar deepens into a calling, and an artist embraces music, movement, and storytelling as his way of being.

Kendall Jo has always been close to music. He grew up in concert bands, choirs, theater, and dance programs, building a technical foundation that would later shape his multifaceted artistry. Still, it wasn’t until college that he knew this had to be his path. He began turning personal experiences into lyrics and melodies, realizing the power that music held to transform and connect.

That realization led him to hone his craft across disciplines. Beyond mastering instruments like piano, trombone, and euphonium, Kendall trained at Septien Entertainment Group — the same school that trained artists like Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez — where he refined his approach to music production, songwriting, and brand development.

His creativity, though, extends far beyond the studio. His background in contemporary, hip hop, and ballet has led him to choreograph, perform, and teach at a professional level. Acting and modeling added expressive depth to his performances and gave him a sharp visual identity. For Kendall, the stage is everything: “It isn’t just where music is heard. It’s where every element of the story comes to life.”

Part of that story is bilingual. While English is his native language, Spanish has become essential to both his artistry and identity. It’s not just a stylistic choice. It’s personal. He writes and sings in both languages, not to alternate between markets, but to build a real bridge between cultures. His bilingual expression reflects lived experience and a genuine desire for connection.

When it comes to influences, Kendall looks to artists who embody performance and purpose. He cites P!nk for her powerful stagecraft and vocal delivery, Ricky Martin for his charisma and social impact, and choreographers like Travis Wall and Matt Steffanina for expanding his movement vocabulary. These references inspired the foundation of his own dynamic, genre-fluid style.

His creative process is both emotional and meticulous. Songs begin with a strong concept, which evolves through lyrics, melody and layered composition within his home workspace. Then he spends quality time producing percussion, textures, and instrumentals from scratch. He avoids samples, often incorporating unconventional sounds that support each song’s theme. Once the track is fully built, he records vocals, harmonies, and ad libs in-studio before finalizing the mix with his engineer.

Musically, Kendall Joresists categorization. He leans into a variety of song structures, extended metaphors, and theatrical moments. His discography spans multiple genres, always grounded in emotional depth. Above all, he strives for his music to offer connection, “to be the kind of soundtrack people turn to when they need to dance, cry, or fall in love.”

Right now, he’s building a full festival set for summer stages featuring live instruments, choreography, and dramatic visuals. He’s also working on a full acoustic EP and a new EDM single, both scheduled for release this year. This duality between introspective and high-energy performance defines his current creative chapter, always evolving, curious, and grounded in intention.

Each project Kendall Jo takes on starts with one goal: to create space for others to see themselves. His work goes beyond performance; it’s about resonance, reflection, and belonging. In a landscape often driven by formulas, his artistic honesty becomes a deliberate statement. As he steps into larger stages and broader audiences, Kendall Jo continues to turn music into shared experience, not just of sound, but of vision and intention. He doesn’t chase trends. He builds his own immersive world and invites others into it.
