RAW78 and Samara have linked up for a new single, “Lost In Motion,” out now via Vibe Chemistry’s Make Your Era, and if you spend any real time in drum and bass spaces you’ll hear immediately that this one was built with intention.

It hits in all the right places, it carries pace, and it keeps its focus without trying to overwhelm you with unnecessary switch-ups, which I personally appreciate when a record is clearly designed for big systems just as much as it is for intimiate rooms.

The record sits in that sweet spot between club functionality and larger stage ambition. Rolling drums push it forward with consistency, the low end has real presence without turning into a wall of mud, and the foghorn-led drop lands with physical impact. At the same time, the arrangement leaves room for the vocal to breathe, which keeps the track from becoming just another high-pressure roller with no identity.

Samara’s Vocal Anchors the Record

At the center of “Lost In Motion” is Samara, and the vocal performance is what gives the record its spine. There’s restraint in how it’s used, and that restraint is what makes it work. Instead of stacking excessive harmonies or burying the topline under effects, the production allows her voice to sit confidently in the mix, which gives the track a clear emotional focal point.

That balance matters. Drum and bass can easily lean too far into pure impact, but here the vocal gives you something to lock onto while the rhythm section does its job underneath. It creates forward motion without sacrificing clarity, and that’s not as common as it should be.

RAW78 Steps Into a Bigger Frame

For RAW78, this release reads like a step forward in scale. The production favors sustained momentum over constant resets, which makes it easier for DJs to work with and easier for crowds to ride out. You can tell it was shaped with large rooms in mind, but it still feels controlled enough to translate in tighter club environments.

The collaboration reportedly started organically after RAW78 discovered Samara’s work online and reached out, and that natural alignment shows up in the final version. Nothing feels forced. The vocal and instrumental feel like they were built to sit together from the start, which is always a good sign.

Landing on Make Your Era makes sense as well. Vibe Chemistry’s imprint has been carving out space for emerging artists who understand where bass music is headed, and “Lost In Motion” fits squarely into that framework. It’s confident without being chaotic, heavy without losing structure, and it positions both artists in a lane that feels intentional heading into 2026.

You can stream “Lost In Motion” now across platforms via Make Your Era.
