The easy way to sell a track like “Carrera GT” is to talk about the guitars first. The fuzz, the dirt, the rock and roll posture, the whole late-night highway thing. That is all there, and it is clearly part of the draw.
The better read is that G L’e P and New York Acid Assembly understand how dangerous this territory can be. Rock-leaning club records can turn into costume fast. Add a little distortion, throw a guitar phrase into the mix, call it dirty, and hope attitude covers the gaps.
“Carrera GT” feels built with a tighter hand than that.

The EP pairs “Carrera GT” with “Moztra,” and the release marks Chicken Town’s eighth catalog entry, CTRS008. It is a short record, just two cuts, and that works in its favor.
No filler, no forced extension, no attempt to turn a sharp idea into something oversized.
The guitar grit has a job to do
“Carrera GT” gets its identity from the way the guitar energy and club motion lean into each other without one swallowing the other.
That is the whole trick with this kind of track. The guitar cannot sit on top like a decorative reference. It has to change the way the record moves. It has to affect the rhythm, the pressure, the attitude, and the way the track feels in the body.
That is where “Carrera GT” earns the premiere slot. The record pulls from fuzzed-out guitars, highway grooves, vintage chug, and dirty club energy, but it does not treat those references like a mood board. The parts point toward the same place: a track made for motion, heat, and a floor that wants something with rougher edges.

The distortion is part of the attitude, but it also gives the record its forward lean.
New York Acid Assembly brings the engine
New York Acid Assembly is the alias of Eliezer, and this premiere hits at a good time. Francisco from Avoiding The Issue mentioned that Eliezer has been traveling heavily, and the release now lines up with a label party in Los Angeles, which gives the whole rollout a little extra heat.
That context helps the track. “Carrera GT” already sounds like a record with movement baked into it. The title alone points toward speed, machinery, and road energy, and the sound of FIERA sits in that same headspace: asphalt, sweat, fuzz, and repetition.
The acid reference in New York Acid Assembly’s name also tells you how to hear the track. This is not clean, glassy club music. It is wired, gritty, and direct, closer to a machine left running in a dark room than a polished festival record trying to look dangerous from a safe distance.
That kind of stripped-back pressure is something I have always liked in dance music, especially when the producer trusts the main idea enough to stop adding decoration. Why “Carrera GT” fits our SoundCloud
A premiere should feel like it gives the track a better first setting than a standard announcement.
For “Carrera GT,” the setting is obvious: SoundCloud, early, loud, with the rougher side left intact. This is the kind of record that makes more sense when it feels a little discovered, like a cut passed between DJs before the release page does the formal work.
Chicken Town Records describes itself as a place “where bold artistic visions become timeless electronic records,” and FIERA gives that line some dirt under the nails. There is nothing timid about this release. It is built around attitude, but the attitude comes from arrangement choices, tone, repetition, and the way the track holds itself.
That is what separates “Carrera GT” from a normal guitar-leaning club record. It understands that grit has to serve the groove. Fuzz alone is easy. Making it move is harder.
