JICO has expanded its acclaimed Clipper cartridge range with the launch of the Clipper-S, a Moving Magnet cartridge and headshell system engineered specifically for straight tonearms. Released under JICO’s C-REVO brand, the Clipper-S addresses the growing demand for straight-arm compatibility among modern vinyl listeners while maintaining the precision and build quality the company is known for.
The new design corrects a long-standing issue in cartridge setup. Traditional headshells intended for S- or J-shaped tonearms can cause misalignment when installed on straight tonearms, affecting tracking accuracy and record wear. The Clipper-S resolves this through a precision-angled headshell that ensures proper alignment, stable tracking, and natural frequency response.
