In January, All Day I Dream brought out the VA “A Winter Sampler VI,” a compilation that presents a collection of carefully selected tracks representing the sounds of Lee Burridge’s label repertoire.

In total, 12 productions were featured on the compilation, but it’s undeniable that the highlight became the remix of “Nocturne,” presented by Brazilian DJ and producer Curol for the track by Dimitri Nakov, Natacha Atlas, and Limara, originally released in January 2023. That’s because the production reached Top #1 on Beatport’s Organic House / Downtempo chart.

As one of the main Brazilian Afro House representatives, Curol has made a name for herself not only in her home country but also internationally. Her resume includes appearances on major stages around the world, such as Rock In Rio, Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, Universo Paralello, Amazônico, Egg London, and the All Day I Dream showcase in Brazil. She also recently played in Tulum, invited by Keinemusik themselves, at the Zamna event.

Thus, her arrival at ADID marks another significant achievement in her career, since in addition to being one of the most renowned labels on the world scene, Curol also becomes the first Brazilian woman to enter the label’s catalog. And this debut comes in style, as the Brazilian presents a refined reinterpretation, which elevates the elements to an engaging groove, along with arrangements and percussions characteristic of the artist’s sound and sounds that align with the concept of All Day I Dream.

But it’s not just the beautiful work of Curol that draws attention to this release; the story it carries also has its particularities. The invitation to make this remix came from an unusual moment, when during a trip she met Dimitri Nakov, starting a productive conversation that resulted in the opportunity to develop a remix for “Nocturne”. The Techno and Psy Trance DJ took the artist’s name and sound to Lee Burridge, who approved the release and even included her in the All Day I Dream event in September 2023 in São Paulo.

After the track hit the platforms, Burridge has been playing the production extensively at his gigs worldwide and has also shown interest in collaborating with Curol more often for All Day I Dream. Not to mention the important achievement of the track, which quickly reached the Top #1 in the Organic House / Downtempo chart on Beatport, demonstrating the power of the Brazilian and her fanbase.

And so it was that a fortuitous meeting led to several open doors for Curol – we’ll be following her closely on her Instagram.
