Sullivan King, renowned for his groundbreaking fusion of heavy metal and bass music, has unleashed a sonic storm with his brand-new remix album, Overthrown (The Thrones of Blood Remix Album). Following the success of his album Thrones Of Blood, which amassed over 40 million streams since its March release, King takes his musical journey to new heights.
Released via Monstercat Uncaged, this captivating remix album, showcases the diverse talents of notable artists such as Kompany, Blanke, Jessica Audiffred, Bossfight, SIPPY, GHENGAR, Chime, LAYZ, Vastive, Benda, LOUIEJAYXX, and SampliFire. It is a dynamic amalgamation of genres, from dubstep and riddim to color bass, heavy metal, and rock.
At the heart of the cataclysmic remixes is Blanke’s reimagining of “Someone Else,” a track from King’s original hit. Blanke transforms the melodic piece into an electrifying dubstep journey with a shocking techno bassline, showcasing the album’s diverse sonic palette.
Bass legend Kompany takes the spotlight with his remix of “Riot,” originally by King and Kai Wachi. Utilizing King’s vocal screams to build an energetic wave, Kompany delivers a relentless assault of riddim chops and robotic dubstep on the drop.
GHENGAR elevates the festival banger “Fall Apart,” a collaboration between King and Excision, with hardstyle elements and bass progressions that synchronize perfectly with chaotic laser displays. In fact, the entire remix album has garnered massive support at festivals such as Lost Lands.
Female artists shine with Jessica Audiffred’s reinvention of “The Dead March,” blending intense lyrics, drum solos, and electric guitar notes into a brain-scrambling drop. SIPPY transforms “Watch The Crown Fall” into a psychedelic adventure, while LAYZ adds her signature twist to “Fall Apart,” unleashing skull-crushing bass.
King shared his excitement, stating, “I am insanely stoked to present ‘Overthrown (The Thrones of Blood Remix Album).’ It is truly an honor to have such incredible artists revisit these tracks, cannot wait for you all to hear them!”
From live performances at Tomorrowland, Nocturnal Wonderland, Lost Lands, EDC Las Vegas, to Shaq’s Bass All-Stars Festival, King’s multi-instrumental prowess and metal-dubstep hybrid tracks have left an indelible mark on the electronic music scene.
With upcoming performances at Ember Shores, Lights All Night, Red Rocks, and recently announced as support on Avenged Sevenfold’s upcoming tour this March, brace yourself for the thunderous impact of Overthrown, marking the next chapter in King’s musical odyssey.
