Factory Planets Synthesis Compilation on Beatport HERE

Factory Planets drops their album Synthesis today, a compilation of their past three EPs assembled all together for the first time. A mix of smokey, jazzy vibes with a slightly melancholic message wedged between the beats. If you listen closely, you might hear some familiar riffs hidden in between the muffled breakbeats. There is a nod to old-school hip hop and classic golden era chillout. all done with a modern approach to the LoFi genre.

If you are a DJ there are a couple of tracks that are sure to whip up a nice transition from slower cuts to more danceable grooves, try The Saints on for size. A classic house vocal, a sci-fi sample, and a bottom-heavy breakbeat that is sure to kick up the vibe as you move to more upbeat grooves.

Other cuts like “Lo Fly High Fly” hit you with a sweet vocal sample, muffled piano loop, and bittersweet lament, and “I Left My Heart” evokes rainy days in San Francisco.

If you are looking for tunes to just roll one up, sip on a whiskey, or a glass of wine on a murky day, this album is a must.
