Their debut album ‘Overnight,’ with a focus single of the same name, dropped on 14th April 2023 through the boutique label Icons Creating Evil Art. They self-proclaim that the ten-track strong album is centered around that “dream-like state of walking home alone after a night out.”
Including recently released singles ‘Laek’, ‘UmaybeU’, and ‘Effort’, the album release is reminiscent of Bon Iver, featuring melancholic and delicate tracks alongside ‘post-club tropical’ singles that are more upbeat.
Emmecosta said of their debut album, “Our aim is to create an introspective and thought-provoking experience by exploring the complexities of human emotions and relationships through themes of lost love, regret, and self-discovery. We’ll delve into the nuances of each theme, examining the impact they have on our lives and relationships. Through our exploration, we hope to inspire a deeper understanding of ourselves and our connections with others.”
Inspired by the likes of Burial, Jungle and Jan Jelinek, the three-piece have put together a playlist centred around their ‘post-club’ inspirations. “Each song is a small drop of magic when night-time fades to daylight. Perhaps something special that is repeated everyday. We were born at dawn,” said band member Aldo Axha.

Monsoonsiren – Sullen Fables
