Rose Rose’s new EP, “Eye To Eye”, is a funky and groovy delight that showcases the duo’s love for a diverse range of genres such as funk, disco, and synthwave, all wrapped up in a modern alt-pop package. Hailing from Paris and London, Samuel and Pierre are both self-taught multi-instrumentalists who have been on a musical journey together for a decade now. The EP showcases their unique style, which is influenced by their love for disco, house, and pop, and the French electronic scene of the early 2000s.

The EP starts off with the soulful lounge-esque pop of “Charlotte” and “Sugar Hill”, setting the tone for the rest of the project. The standout track, “Sky Queen”, takes on a more funk-rich vibe, while “Mustang” has distinctive, nu-disco vibes. The EP showcases the duo’s versatility as producers and their ability to explore different genres with ease.
The early composition stages of “Charlotte” and “Sky Queen” involved friends and family in the writing process, highlighting the importance of collaboration and community to Rose Rose’s creative process. Speaking on the new EP, the duo state: “We composed our EP between Paris and London and saw “Eye to Eye” as an opportunity to pay tribute to the sounds that made our teen ages whilst simultaneously reinterpreting them. Although we try to stay very private during the final production stages of our music, the early composition stages of “Charlotte” and “Sky Queen” started collectively, involving friends and family in the writing process.”
