We feature new music released by regular dub techno labels such as Superordinate Dub Waves, spclnch, Drift Deeper Recordings, ECOUL SND, Seven Villas and Greyscale in this series.
BDTOM, NAETEK, “Noumena”
Bdtom, a dedicated music producer and record collector inspired by 70s jazz music has developed his style of deep and dub techno, as we can feel in this new release and collaboration with London-Italian boss of Superordinate Dub Waves label
GIACOMO PELLEGRINO, “The Grey Man”
Giacomo Pellegrino is a strong artist in dub techno, having released on Greyscale, spclnch, Vibe experience, and ECOUL SND. The Italian producer and DJ, founder of the underground vinyl-only label ‘Detroit Side’, returns with an excellent release with mesmerizing voices added to dub layers that are solid and dark.
AVGUCHENKO, “Get Tired”
Founded by Thomas Carmody in 2019, spclnch is a well-known label focused on releasing consistent and quality dub techno with names such as Schulz Audio, R.Hz, Krissky, Kooscha to name a few. This new release by Russian dub techno artist Avguchenko provides 4 slow and melodic dub trackers that are hypnotizing.
R.Hz, Basic noise, “ALIEN WORKSHOP”
Talking about spclnch, this 4 tracker by established dub artists R.Hz and Basic noise is highly seductive and conveys a deep and mysterious message. The versions by R.Hz transports us to a meditative journey while Basicnoise’s interpretations are efficient for dance floor purposes.
MUTUL, “RAME”
We love this downtempo dub and deep music from the album ‘RAME’ – echoing a concept that alludes at chaos and encourages rebirth, released by the singular artist Mutul and featuring strong remixes by dub artists Martin Jarl, Kooscha, and Visitor 19, on London deep label Drift Deeper.
PABLO BOLIVAR, “REMIXED DETAILS PART. 3”
With decades of experience releasing music and as the head of Seven Villas and Avantroots labels, Spanish talent Pablo Bolivar features 3 remixes and interpretations by notorious dub techno artists (Biodub, Dactilar, Havantepe) of his deep and dubby album “Details Am Rande”– composed with Joerg Schuster. The 10-tracker album translates music for the cosmos, where we can feel a love for organic sounds, with deep and spacey minimal and ambient dub techno.
ERCOS BLANCA, “Boston Tea Party”
Italian secretive yet talented artist Erkos Blanca provides a subtle yet dreamy dubby EP featuring a piano-led ambient dub techno version that totally got us. Beautiful atmospheres meld seamlessly with deep layers, providing a singular listening journey.
DAVOR TOSOVIC, “Human Interface”
Great atmospheres and groovy elements make up this new release by Davor Tosovic on the deep and dub ambient label Melotonin. Lush pads, seductive dub chords, and well balanced harmonics and drums invite us to the dancefloor.
NICOLAS GUDINO & NAE:TEK, “Caesura”
Mexican based artist Nicolas Gudino creates some deep textures on this track in collaboration with Nae:Tek from the established London Superordinate Dub Waves that works great in a DJ set.
FRANCISCO AGUYADO, “Around the Far Away”
Lithuania well-known dub techno imprint Greyscale regularly and consistently provides us with the latest must-have tracks in dub and deep atmospheric techno, as proven by this efficient and new release by Francisco Aguyado.
NICOLAS BARNES, “Years since EP”
We could only continue 2023 with this new fantastic 13-tracker of deep and soulful dub techno by Latvian artist Nicolas Barnes. We love this dancefloor-focused dub techno with a minimal, sexy touch released on his imprint ECOUL SND.
GONZALO VILLAREAL, “Vortex”
This release blends perfectly nice ambient layers with deep and groovy dub techno elements featuring nice delays and echoes that invites us to a mesmerizing journey.
French producer & DJ Angel began her career in London as a music journalist and event promoter for a small DJ bar in the British capital. Ever since, she appeared as a DJ in Tokyo, Berlin, Bali and began producing music in 2016. Her work is inspired by ambient producers and dub techno artists as well as nature, travels, and meditation.
