It’s not something we often think about with music festivals, but pesky bugs like mosquitos and ticks can be a real problem during summer events, especially in more wooded areas. Snow Peak has created the perfect solution to thwarting off these unwanted pests so you can enjoy your summer outside, whether it’s festivals, camping or just urban chilling.

The jacket itself is lightweight, and breathable, so it won’t bog you down in hot temperatures and will keep you fully protected. The legendary Insect Shield fabric easily repels bugs and mosquitoes, and the repellent is so tightly woven into the fibers of the material you will never have to worry about it rubbing off on your skin like traditional bug sprays.

The jacket features two-way zippers and a full zip hood so if things get really hairy you are fully protected from the swarm. Once you are done with it, the jacket packs down into a nice little bag that is easy to store or carry with along with you wherever your adventures take you.
We took the jacket out into the wilderness of Colorado at our Project Basscamp test facility and rocked it in the tick infested trees and mosquito filled forest and had no problems. The jacket was remarkably comfortable in 80 degree heat and especially nice in the evening when things cooled down a little bit.
The only thing you might want to note is that the sizes run a little smaller than normal s if you are normally a medium you might want to size up to a large as the sizing is Japanese.
You can check out the jacket on Snow Peaks Website.
