For GHENGAR, chaos and catharsis have increasingly become two sides of the same experience. His new single “DEMONS” brings that philosophy into focus through a volatile combination of dubstep, tearout, heavy metal, and live scream-sung vocals.
Built with the moshpit in mind, this track pairs pounding drums and electric guitar with punishing electronic production while GHENGAR steps behind the microphone himself. His raw vocal performance gives “DEMONS” an added human intensity, transforming the record from a straightforward bass weapon into a collision between metal performance and modern sound design.
Turning Aggression Into Release
The concept behind “DEMONS” feels especially fitting following a massive weekend for GHENGAR in Dallas.
Ahead of his SILO headline, GHENGAR partnered with local business Mayhem Rage Room for an unconventional fan experience that invited 12 giveaway winners and their guests to destroy objects alongside him. Two attendees received GHENGAR masks, while another walked away with a one-of-one jersey.
“At first I was smashing things for the content, then something woke up in me and was set free,” GHENGAR shared afterward. “This was therapy. Similar to heavy music, we embraced chaos to find peace.”
One night later, that same energy moved from the rage room to the dancefloor as GHENGAR performed for more than 2,600 attendees at SILO Dallas.
“DEMONS” feels like a natural soundtrack to that philosophy. The track uses aggression as a vehicle for release, channeling distorted guitars, relentless drums, scream-sung vocals, and crushing bass into something intentionally physical.
After earning strong reactions in recent sets at EDC Las Vegas, ILLFest, and SILO Dallas, the single also offers another indication of where GHENGAR’s sound is heading. Rather than existing strictly within dubstep, the project continues exploring the increasingly blurred territory between bass music and metal.
With “DEMONS,” GHENGAR does not simply borrow from both worlds. He brings their shared sense of intensity, community, and emotional release together into one unapologetically heavy record.

Raised in upstate New York, I was always a big fan of music but never really listened to electronic music. Within the first month of attending Florida State University and meeting some new friends, I was introduced to the rave scene. After seeing Ekali at my first show, I was instantly hooked. Since then, I have dived into every subgenre of electronic music, picked up DJing, and mixed for clubs and different entertainment events in Tallahassee. Once graduating with degrees in marketing and hospitality, I was hired for a sales position. However, I recently decided to leave my sales job to pursue my dream of working in the music industry. Currently, I run Magnetic Magazine's Melodic Techno Charts, along with my role as a PR and marketing specialist for different artists and labels.
