Reboot Keeps It Focused on the Floor With New ‘Sunshine EP’

Reboot has always leaned on instinct. His new Sunshine EP on Haven Trax—out June 6—feels like a direct transfer of what happened during his set at Thuishaven this past March. No concept fluff, no extended rollout—just three tracks that lock into a mood and stick with it.

The title track Sunshine leads with exactly what the name promises—clear percussion, rounded grooves, and a sense of warmth that builds without rushing. It’s a front-of-the-crate opener for outdoor floors that need swing and tone. Signs follows up with sharper drums and a vocal cut that feels fully integrated into the rhythm.

The sound design is all in service of the pacing. Then there’s Kinky, which leans heavier on low-end roll and hypnotic phrasing. The percussion takes center stage, reminding you why Reboot’s still getting booked off the back of drum programming alone.

There’s a reason his sound stuck during the Frankfurt wave in the 2010s.
